Another rent-a-gob. Does everyone have to join in the feeding frenzy?

Admit it, you’d like to hear me pant that in your ear while I’m smashing your backdoor in……

  3. This article is inaccurate. He did not have children via a surrogate, he co-parents with a female friend.

    1. You beat me to it! I hope this misinformation is corrected!

  4. Well done, for speaking out, Mr. Condou.

  5. Am I the only person who thinks far too much attention has already been paid to Everett’s trivial opinion?

    Post a reply →
    1. Sadly, you’re right. Mr Everett has been very successful in keeping his name in the public consciousness by blurting out his own brand of internalised homophobia at regular intervals over the years.

Unfortunately he damages public perception of LGBT people by doing so: a perception that needs to be re-set with balancing comments by intelligent people like Mr Condou.

      1. I don’t entirely agree, I think a shrug of indifference is all his opinion deserved.

Obviously what Rupert Everett said is completely wrong and I’d definitely say he had some issues with his self-image, but I wouldn’t stoop to namecalling.

He is a well meaning guy who is obviously just set in his ways. Can’t say the same for his mum if what I hear is true though.

I would add that the fact that Rupert ran away from home at 16 to sell his ass for drugs hardly speaks well for heterosexual religious parents.

    1. Sell his ass for sex!? Don’t let Paris Hilton know about it or she’ll be mouthing off again without thinking.

  8. I imagine he was sozzled when he gave that interview. His mother was probably the same.

  9. Mr Everett should perhaps restrict himself to uttering the words of others in public rather than his own. That’s what actors do best.

    1. A bit difficult in an interview though, isn’t it?

For sure, but he’s hardly a novice. Anyway I agree with the sentiment that you expressed earlier. I paraphrase: ENOUGH ALREADY!

There’s nowt a media personality likes more than talking media and personality with members of the…er…media

I suggest everyone Everett bashing reads what he said, or at the very least reads the bloody Pink News article eh…?

It’s like a bloody Daily Mail convention in here most of the time…

“gay dinosaur” more like self loathing homophobe. Everett is really messed up ,carrying around his mothers baggage still. If he had made comments like this on bi racial parenting, there would be outrage, why are there so some weak gay men thinking his public declaration of bigotry of gay men is ok ?

Whilst I don’t agree with his comment about gay parenting, I can relate to what he says with regards to not seeing himself as part of the gay community.

I would much rather go to a straight pub or at least a pub that wasn’t predominantly gay any day. That doesn’t mean I am a homophobe, it simply means that I prefer a mixture of people rather than the stereotypical scene which is where “the community” is.

The gay community are forever demanding that society respects their right to live in the way they want and yet if a gay man doesn’t fall into line when it comes to living the gay life…..

    Sigh. Nothing worse than hypocrisy.

One washed-up actor attacking the opinions of another.

In the grand scheme of things does any of this really matter?
