Police are seeking to identify two suspects involved in a homophobic attack which took place last month on Kennington Road near Vauxhall.

The victims, two men aged 46 and 50, were walking their dogs around 7.45pm on Tuesday 14 August when they were verbally abused and punched by two people.

The Metropolitan Police says the incident continued in the near-by branch of Papa John’s Pizza and one of the couple’s dogs was also kicked in the attack.

The suspects were a black male and a white female, both in their thirties. The male was wearing a brown t-shirt with a circular print on the front. The female was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

Following the attack the suspects walked north on Kennington Road and into Windmill Row.

Anyone who can identify the suspects or who witnessed the incident is asked to contact DC Dean Amjad at the Lambeth Community Safety Unit on 020 8721 3318 or e-mail him at [email protected]
