  1. not suprised, after all its america

  2. Raping children is ok too acording to the church .

  3. So, the church can have a say what is on TV now?

Warped, deluded people, still trying to push across a message of hate.

Bit like Iraq which is trying to ban the emo/rocker image, saying its destroying the country. No… just trying to bring it into the 21st century!

  4. There are LGBT Christians, too

  5. No big problem, people watching the show are not likely to be interested in the church, so it’s waste of their money at that time.

    1. Yes, better for their claptrap to fall on stony ground.

    2. Broadly correct, although of course some of the bigots will no doubt have forced themselves to watch the show so that they could then complain about the “offensive” content, Flanders-style. Not that the adverts will have changed their warped views either, of course.

    3. I agree. I rub my hands every time one of these Christian bigots embarks on legal action or appeal over a decision made against them. They have deep pockets but it all eats away at their finances.

  6. TV adverts for CHURCHES? What kind of weird place is America? You simply don’t have anything of the kind in the civilized world…

    1. Is it really any stranger than TV adverts for Internet Explorer 9, something they could advertise somewhere else like, oh I dunnno, they could try the internet?

    2. In the civilised world churches have better things to spend vast amounts of money on, maintaining their often beautiful buildings for example. There appears to be little conflict with God and Mammon in the US, in fact all too often they seem to be the same entity.

      1. That is religion for you. Why spend the churches money on the needy and poor when there is so much gay bashing to be done.

They are simply desperate since they know every day leaves the church somewhere and the rest are dying !!!

….. …..It is imperative that those with religious conviction like that of Delegate Burns, must never be allowed any position of power that does not have the most stringent guidelines to a point of almost strangling th“I am requesting that you take the necessary action, as a National Football League at power. These xtians seem to me to be getting even more arrogant in their demands recently. American politics has become, for all and intents and purposes a farce, with the political hopefuls competing with each other, not to prove that their policies are better then the other dudes, but how christian they are and the changes they will make if ya’ll would jus vote for us, ya’ll, ye hear! We will roll back America and when we get settled in the rest of they heathen world back to the time of Jesus, yall” I paraphrase with what would look to the casual reader

…tongue in cheek, but believe you me, these are the type of people that are fighting hard to get into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave at the moment. This is the state of the GOP, the Republican Party of the USA at the present time. The Tea Baggers are in the ascendancy in the States and the entire world will rue the day they are elected, should that tragically be the case come the November Elections. If you thought there couldn’t possibly be worse than George W. Bush. I have news for you. A man who wears magic underwear and expects to be given his own planet when he dies, is lets face it, one vote away from becoming the de facto leader of the free world never mind the USA…… The attitude such as that of Burns and the dude who opined that women could turn off becoming pregnant from rape is reinforced by similar conviction in ancient books dictated by illiterate desert goat herds. Mitt Romneys Book of Mormon was dictated by aliens and written on golden plates, cont.

……and buried in a hillside in upper New York, and “translated” by the illiterate Joseph Smith, by putting a rock in his hat, putting his face in the hat and reading parchment texts that then appeared in the hat in front of his face, while he hid behind a curtain so the scribe mustn’t set eyes on the “plates” This is the basis of Mitt Romneys faith and is what he believes as a Mormon. He wants to ban gays from the military, ban abortion, even for rape, he wants creationism taught in science classes, no women in politics, conscription reinstated, abolish all state sponsored medical plans like Obamacare, Blue Cross, and Medicaid etc. he wants to raise by 30% the lowest rate of tax and to reduce the top rate by 32%…work it out for yourself. This is the crowd that are within a hairs breadth of winning the American elections in November…….
