A state-sponsored newspaper in Iran has published a document claiming to have uncovered a secret plot by the Jewish people, particularly in the US and UK, to spread homosexuality worldwide.

The document, published by Mashregh news agency, titled “Introduction to the overt and covert aspects of spreading homosexuality in the world,” details the uncovering of a secret plan by “Jewish financial and human capital, along with the West, particularly America and Britain”, the Huffington Post reported.

It attacked progressive Judaism for allowing gay, as well as female, rabbis, and said:

“It is so important to Israel to support homosexuality that in the seminaries for Conservative Jews, the rabbis agreed to accept gay men and women according to the rituals of Jewish religion.”

World domination was the goal of those criticised by the paper, which said: “abomination and immoral phenomenon would become commonplace and used to subjugate those who did not accept homosexuality.”

It also said blamed the US film industry and “Jewish Universities” for “teaching” homosexuality. It said such teaching was “mandatory for all students in California schools.”

Healthcare systems in the West were also blamed, as, according to the article, if they cared about LGBT people, they should be providing medical “cures” for homosexuality:

“If support for homosexuals stemmed from humane considerations or defense of human rights, it would be in the form of providing individual assistance to these people, who need care and medical treatment to rescue them from the immoral actions that undermine the family institution.”

In an article for the Jerusalem Post, Dr. Wahied Wahdat-Hagh, said the paper: “legitimises the execution of gays in Iran; they made a text not only to ridicule the West but to provide a reason why Iran executes gays.”

Iranian authorities announced 22 June, that they had shut down a prominent publishing house in Tehran because of its “promotion of homosexuality, incest, and sexual relations between men and women outside marriage”.
