Because this is a UK website and the editor likely didn’t realize that there was a difference between US and UK police tape.

The armed forces and professional sports are renowned for having the least intelligent members of society in their ranks. This story does not surprise me.

I am sure you meant this to be funny, but I believe it’s quite inaccurate. The US military academy as well as its sister schools in Annapolis and Colorado Springs have consistently ranked as some of the best schools in the US, often above prestigious schools as Harvard and Yale.
As a gay army captain myself, only a semester away from a masters degree at NYU, I’m constantly impressed by the high moral and intellectual caliber of men and women with whom I serve. These 4 cowards who beat up someone smaller than themselves do not represent the proud and honorable service of other men and women in uniform.

If found guilty they will be jailed. They also face military justice for this, and additional (not alternative) time in the brig if found guilty under the UCMJ. In jail and in the brig they will have to endure rampant and relentless verbal humiliation, for visiting a gay bar and then violently refusing to step out of their closets after doing so. After jail and brig time they will be dishonorably discharged, and that lifetime blot on their record will haunt their attempts to find good jobs for decades to come.

There are ads on television about how the Marine Corp is looking for a “few good men”, I guess these four prove they still haven’t found them!

Why are the names withheld. Shouldn’t the rest of society know who are responsible for violence so as to avoid the same from happening to them?

      1. There is still a small notion of innocent until proven guilty.

If they are I hope, and trust they are suitably punished and named and shamed. If not why should their privacy be invaded
