  1. Let’s all hope for a guilty verdict and that many more people will have the courage to speak up about this man.

    1. Well, let’s hope for a fair verdict.

Loathsome as his views are, the man is still entitled to a hearing. I’d hate to convict someone based on pure dislike – that is what he and his cretinous cronies do.

  2. Do not comment on this story! It might wreck the trial. This should be treated as sub judice until the verdict is delivered. Comments should be closed.

I this was in the UK I would agree, but it is in the US where I think that different rules apply.

That is never necessary unless a judge has order a gag rule on a given case in order to assure that an unbiased jury can be selected and it is used rarely! Calling for it when a judge hasn’t is only censoring our free press!

  3. If you feel so strongly about the personal life of others and are opposed to their right to marry. Some thing that will not affect you at all, then you almost certainly have personal issues.

  4. Typical. It seems it isn’t really possible to be a religious nutter and not be a child abuser…

Exactly right, they’re the worst offenders. There have been many instances of clergy of several denominations indulging in such heinous acts while decrying homosexuality and voting against equal marriage. The biggest hypocrites of all are religious nutters of course who have a monopoly on it.

  5. The trouble is he will be held up by the homophobes and the ignorant as a typical example of a gay man……

    1. Robert in S. Kensington 28 Aug 2012, 12:20pm

Not if it were girls he molested. Homophobes never denigrate or sensationalise the sexual orientation of a straight paedophile to foment hatred or brand all heterosexuals as such. The article doesn’t specify the gender of the victims even though it mentioned he was also a youth volunteer.

    2. All the pro-Prop8 groups will first erase every single mention of him from their records and mysteriously forget he ever contributed time and/or money to their campaign.
Then like you say, they will say he’s a typical gay man and the exact reason why homosexuality should be illegal.

Makes you wonder how many child abusers and molesters signed the C4M/CI petition doesn’t it? I’m sure there were many catholic clergy among them.

  7. Anyone surprised? N/N? Please pick, N for no, or N for no…

    Did not think so.

He is just the latest in a long line of homophobic pedaeophiles! Hopefully this will blow Proposition 8 straight out of the water.

  9. Jim Nashville tn 28 Aug 2012, 3:15pm

another hater .. who is the worst kind of person.. a pedophile .. I do hope that the victims get help . .and that this arrest puts them on a road to recovery .. if they havent already started that journey ..

  10. Amber Thompson 28 Aug 2012, 3:33pm

    Why is this not surprising?

  11. Janet Lameck 28 Aug 2012, 6:23pm

Now the truth cums out (pun intentional).

He who protests the loudest has the most to hide !!!
