Loathsome as his views are, the man is still entitled to a hearing. I’d hate to convict someone based on pure dislike – that is what he and his cretinous cronies do.

I this was in the UK I would agree, but it is in the US where I think that different rules apply.
That is never necessary unless a judge has order a gag rule on a given case in order to assure that an unbiased jury can be selected and it is used rarely! Calling for it when a judge hasn’t is only censoring our free press!
If you feel so strongly about the personal life of others and are opposed to their right to marry. Some thing that will not affect you at all, then you almost certainly have personal issues.

Exactly right, they’re the worst offenders. There have been many instances of clergy of several denominations indulging in such heinous acts while decrying homosexuality and voting against equal marriage. The biggest hypocrites of all are religious nutters of course who have a monopoly on it.

Not if it were girls he molested. Homophobes never denigrate or sensationalise the sexual orientation of a straight paedophile to foment hatred or brand all heterosexuals as such. The article doesn’t specify the gender of the victims even though it mentioned he was also a youth volunteer.
All the pro-Prop8 groups will first erase every single mention of him from their records and mysteriously forget he ever contributed time and/or money to their campaign.
