  1. Jim and Mary O’Reilly, devout Catholics said they had never refused gay couples food or accommodation but did not feel they could celebrate a same-sex union “because it goes against everything that we as Catholics believe in”.

Isn’t that sad. Everything they believe in. Not the teaching of Jesus, that everyone is equally deserving of love and respect, but that only men and women should marry.

    1. Absolutely – you took the words right out of my keyboard! Talk about not seeing the wood for the trees.

  2. This just goes to disprove all those people who say catholics don’t follow their evil bigoted leaders. Clearly they are just as stunted as the paedophiles in dresses that tell them what to think.

  3. If being against gay marriage is “Everything we believe in”, then I wonder what purpose these people see in Catholicism apart from agreeing with their homophobic beliefs

  4. “Jim and Mary O’Reilly, devout Catholics said they had never refused gay couples food or accommodation but did not feel they could celebrate a same-sex union”

Who’s asking them to celebrate it? They were supposed to be providing food and a venue. Talk about up their own arses. People want food not a bl**dy sermon from some holier-than-thou obsessive.
