I hope this will raise my home city’s profile in the LGBT world. Preston does not have much of an LGBT scene, with Manchester and Blackpool stealing the limelight. Over the next two weeks Preston will be celebrating it’s Guild, something which happens once every 20 years and will feature huge street parades. In addition there will be live concerts headlined by the Human League.
If this is run by volunteers, why do they need so much cash? volunteers give their time, they don’t get paid. £450,000 could have homed some homeless people of the county.
