  1. Shall we use the f-word for her? It does spring to mind.

    1. No, the c-word would be more appropriate for this bigot.

      1. billywingartenson 24 Aug 2012, 12:40am

no – spell the word KKKxnt

    2. billywingartenson 24 Aug 2012, 12:47am

read the link about 2 of her 3 children Its posted on this blog by “gazza”

As usual she’s trying to cover up her own failings by hating on other people

Probably encouraged by the threat of hell from her right wing church Bishoprickss

The only question is whether she was paid for the sex that produced her illegitimate kiddies

      1. Why do people equate numpty headed bigots like her with prostitution? It’s sexist nonsense.

        1. Surely the point is, she is trumpeting the “family” and heterosexual marriage while breeding outside of wedlock. What hypocrisy!

    3. 28 Sep 2012, 9:07am

many but not all christian democrats are neither christian or democrats.

  2. Jesus Moran 23 Aug 2012, 8:33pm

Que desfile de hijos de puta he visto hoy en las noticias , puro y simple!!’n

    1. Pocas veces las noticias consisten en fenómenos agradables, sensatos o inteligentes. Por eso nos sorprendemos placenteramente ante las noticias gratas.

  3. What a stupid person. I mean, really, what an extremely STUPID person. You have to be extremely stupid to think that gay people are a threat to Germany. How are they a threat? What threat do they pose? She should explain.

Gay people are a small percentage of the population. What are they doing that is a massive threat to the rest of society?

    1. The real threat is from women who have babies outside of a stable relationship, and by various fathers.

  4. Paddyswurds 23 Aug 2012, 8:53pm

What was her response when challenged by Bild to explain how this manifests itself but as usual sloppy and inept journalism leaves us guessing two thirds of the story. Another vile harridan on the wrong ide of history…..

    1. There is some more information in this article from the English-language version of Der Spiegel:

  5. Oh god another idiot! Is stupidity the only qualification you need to be a politician?

    1. The Big Yin 24 Aug 2012, 4:23am

      Nope, greed as well….

  6. Lynda Yilmaz 23 Aug 2012, 9:01pm

I tried to find this Facebook page ‘No Future for Katherine Reiche and the search did not come up with it. It is becoming increasingly difficult to comment about this people, because the more ludicrous the assertion, the less possible it is to counter it. I thought least I could do here was join the FB page. Anyone else find it?

    1. The percentage of LGBT people stays the same and has done throughout time. We’ve not destroyed families yet and we have no intention of doing so because – get this, Katherina – we are PART of families, part of society and part of the human race.

As for destroying prosperity – that’s so stupid I can hardly think of a response. I suppose her implication is that we’ll ‘turn everyone gay’ *rolls eyes*

      1. No idea why that comment appeared under Lulu’s. It was a general one not a reply to hers.

      2. It is a stupid comment.

Frankly, opposition to Human Rights is a bigger threat to Germany’s prosperity… and Gay Rights are Human Rights.

      3. It’s quite bizarre when people make these kinds of claims, after all, many gay couples who do not have children have higher disposable income meaning that they are more likely to be using that money on the purchase of goods and services.

  7. What the hell is up at the moment! every second posting is some idiot mouthing off that the entire reason the world is going to hell in a handbasket is because of gay marriage! You sort of expect this kind of thing from african bishops and mental americans, but quite why this german lufthansa stewardess (to judge from her outfit) has got it in for us i dont know.

    1. That scarf’s probably holding her remaining brains in.

  8. Pavlos Prince of Greece 23 Aug 2012, 9:03pm

She is not alone in this party with such or even more homophobic views, not at all. Poor Germany, at the level of gay rights this country is far behind western and northern neighbours. Even Social Democrats have same-sex marriage in the party platform just since last December. ‘I am in favor of gay marriage because I am Conservative’ – unthinkable in the German politics. At least at the moment.

  9. She didn’t actually say that gay people were the biggest threat to Germany after the Euro crisis, she said it was demographic change (i.e. Germany’s low birth rate).

You’d get the impression from this article that her language was inciting violence against gay people, when really she’s just a moron who thinks that people will have more children if gay people can’t get married.

You can bet that she doesn’t want gay people raising children either.

So I’m not defending her, just saying the charge against her is not quite as bad as this article makes out.

  10. Christopher 23 Aug 2012, 9:22pm

So begins the era of the Fourth Reiche.

    Fasten your seatbelts!

    Don’tcha luv puns?

  11. With a surname like Reich(e), what did we expect?

    1. Spanner1960 24 Aug 2012, 12:34pm

  12. Look, America! There are nut jobs everywhere!

  13. Fully agree with her, families and heterosexuals are the future, homosexuals cannot procreate!

    1. That There Other David 23 Aug 2012, 11:17pm

In case you didn’t notice heterosexual families keep having homosexual offspring. Have done all the way through recorded human history too.

We’re a much bigger part of the future than your ill-thought out mutterings, that’s for sure.

    2. You seriously think the world is in danger of being underpopulated, do you Mikey? Bless.

(Try reading, it might do you some good. If you can, that is.)

    3. Wow, Mike. You sound like an intelligent guy. Not only have you made an incredibly profound point that wipes out all arguments for equal rights but you have also clearly done flawless research.

    4. “homosexuals cannot procreate!”

Er, yes we can, Mike! And “families” include LGBT people too – as if it isn’t obvious. Funny how gay people don’t go round trying to denigrate staright people or limit their rights, but some straight people are clearly so insecure in themselves they have to attack LGBT people. The problem isn’t us, Mike, it’s peole like you.

    5. Paddyswurds 24 Aug 2012, 12:25pm

…Your ignorance is complete with your assertion that Gay people cannot procreate. Obviously your knowledge of biology is sorely wanting. You should have spent more time studying reality rather than rubbish dictated by fearful desert goatherds from 3000 years ago, who didn’t know where the sun went at night.

    6. Spanner1960 24 Aug 2012, 12:42pm

Isn’t it strange how all gay people come from two people of the opposite sex?
I reckon we should stop all heterosexual sex. That will get rid of those pesky queers once and for all.

    7. What are you even doing on this website?

  14. In Germany today few people want to procreate and have children, this woman is a poor man, who with his statements only machando Angela Merkel, this rather a big woman, have elections in 2013, Angela and her party has already lost 11 local elections. She better get back quick vacation.

    1. and this is why you dont use google translate…

  15. friday jones 23 Aug 2012, 11:04pm

She’s scared that she might get turned into a pillar of salt.

    1. That There Other David 23 Aug 2012, 11:19pm

      Hans und Leiselotswife?

  16. You would think a German politician would be more careful about calling certain minorities a threat to the country.

  17. Spanner1960 23 Aug 2012, 11:13pm

Nice to see all the racists out in force.
Funny how people that would never mention African ethics are eager to pop up and stir up the old N@zi connotations.

    1. Is it racist to call to mind Germany’s shameful (within living memory) history when their young right-wing politicians campaign for intolerance? Not in my book. Anyway, the Reich jokes are funny. Laugh, please.

      1. Spanner1960 24 Aug 2012, 12:34pm

No more shameful than labelling Rwandans that committed genocide amongst their own people less than 30 years ago.

You cannot blame the sins of the Fathers on the children.

    2. Paddyswurds 24 Aug 2012, 12:33pm

…….Naz1ism is not a race issue but a political one so I fail to get your point Spanner. Would you care to elucidate?
If it helps I’m sure a nice lady at the library will help you look it up in a dictionary……

      1. Spanner1960 24 Aug 2012, 12:38pm

Oh get off your fcking high horse!
Who mentioned N@zis? This is simply anti-German nastiness.
Or would you like to dispute that the Teutonic people are not a race either? maybe you should visit the library and get a fcking European history book you sanctimonious c*nt.

    3. billforsyth 10 Oct 2012, 12:16am

It is not racist, unfortunatley the history of Germany shows that the scapegoating of any minority and using them as the reason for all of a nations problems is extremely dangerous. That country has the practical example to illustrate that point. Why would one mention Africa in a piece about a German politician in Germany.

  18. Very very disappointing in a German who’s not even 40. Just goes to show there are idiots everywhere though, I suppose.

  19. What are you hiding Katherina? This is as deflective as it can get in German politics.

  20. billywingartenson 24 Aug 2012, 12:36am

She’s probably reading mein Kampf. Hitlr threw the gays in the ovens also.

In America we call these people “white trash”

    1. Spanner1960 24 Aug 2012, 12:39pm

In Europe we call people like you racists.

  21. billywingartenson 24 Aug 2012, 12:46am

read the link about 2 of her 3 children Its posted on this blog by “gazza”

As usual she’s trying to cover up her own failings by hating on other people

Probably encouraged by the threat of hell from her right wing church pishops

The only question is whether she was paid for the sex that produced her illegitimate kiddies

    1. Bigotry and small mindedness does not go hand in hand with prostitution.

  22. GingerlyColors 24 Aug 2012, 7:46am

Shock horror! After surviving being defeated in two world wars plus a 4-2 Paxo-ing by England in the 1966 World Cup Final, Germany is just about to be wiped off the map by millions of gays!

  23. That is the end of her career. Run a long home now, female, and stop bothering us. Stupid, empty headed…….. (sigh) cannot be bothered trying to find other words. Irritating is one that can be used………..

  24. I am surprised that a woman who has produced bastards can say such things.

    1. Don’t fight hatred with hatred Neville – to cat-call fellow human beings whose parents may bot be married as ‘bastards’ is just as bad as bigots spouting homophobic insults.

      1. Indeed – but through her own vile comments Ms Reiche is inviting feedback on her own family circumstances.

She is a member of the Christian Democrats. Christians have a word for children born out of wedlock.

And that word is ‘bastard’. It’s not a nice word, but Ms Reiche invited it on herself.

      2. bastard is not strictly speaking an insult, but a neutral description, for example, King William 1 (“William the Conqueror”) was known as William the Bastard, as his parents were unmarried.

  25. Another day another idiot!

Where do we start? First off, by having illegitimate children herself, she has no right to say anything about the family unit.

Secondly, gay families who do not have children will have higher disposable income, meaning they are the ones who are most likely to be spending their hard earned money on goods and services.

My husband and I do not have children and have no intention of doing so, in return we have our taxes go into a system where we get no benefit from NOT having children. We won’t be taking time off work to look after sick children or arrive late because the school was late. I am asked not to take holidays in August so that the families can have theirs.

Finally, judging by the picture on the article, she looks like she should really be serving tea/coffee in economy on German Wings Airline!

    1. I understand that there are elections in Germany next year, Merkel, as I understand will have difficulty holding onto power and this vile excuse of a woman is another nail in the coffin for the CDU government.

  26. These sorts of hateful comments belong to the Reiche.

  27. This story becomes even sadder when you look at the personal cicumstances of Katherina Reiche and discover that as an unmarried mother she faced stigmatisation from within her own party. I suspect her recent comments are just a way of trying to ‘fit in’. Desperate.

  28. Fatherland?

  29. One moment marriage equality is not a priority and is of footling importance to government and the country and the next moment marriage equality is going to destroy whole countries.
The opposition really need to get their sidelining / scaremongering stories sorted.

  30. For a country that destroyed milliions of families in the past becuase of not conforming to the German ideal I would have hoped for something better.

  31. Robert in S. Kensington 24 Aug 2012, 11:55am

What can you expect from a ‘christian’ German such as Reiche? Remember, the catholic Hitler once said the Jewish people were a threat to Germany and look what happened. She’s learned nothing of her country’s history. What a disgustingly vile bigoted hypocrite, and an unwed mother too. The sooner that CDU party is booted out, the better, along with Merkel.

    1. Spanner1960 24 Aug 2012, 1:13pm

Except Hitler didn’t eliminate Jews because of their religion, he did it primarily for financial reasons.

      1. Yes but that’s because he and so many others were already prejudiced against them, a prejudice that was inextricably associated with their religion and religion-based sense of identity.

  32. I think this chick needs to get together with Sarah Palin and go bowling.

    With explosives.

    1. Robert in S. Kensington 24 Aug 2012, 1:28pm

Or her equally halfwitted daughter, Bristol, the one who espouses her mother’s family values, sanctity of marriage nonsense but who ended up getting pregnant and having a baby out of wedlock. So much in common with Reiche.

  33. Why is she dressed as an air hostess?

    1. I’m guessing, Lufthansa!

  34. “Ms Reiche, you do not see a future for a Germany in which homosexuals have the same rights as heterosexuals and we do not see a future for you in 21st century German politics.”

Excellent response. Slam her, German friends. Slam her hard. There’s a touch of the old Aryan super-race thinking sneaking back in there.

  35. It infuriates me that it seems everyone has forgotten about the gay victims of the holocaust. Perhaps if they were remembered a little better a German politician would think twice before using such language.

I can’t imagine her saying such things about Jewish people.

  36. Sorry to upset this ignorant woman but some of us are gay and have children – in my case two amazing sons with two fathers and two mothers – the only downside is they may be over-parented!

  37. Idiot!

Or as they say in Deutschland, IDIOT! (with a German accent)

  38. Perhaps Ms Reiche would like all our gay brothers and sisters in Germany to be more visible so that her ire can be better directed. Here’s an idea for her. Why not make us all wear pink triangles sewn onto our clothes?
Oh, wait. That’s been tried once, hasn’t it?
It didn’t make us go away then, either. You’d have thought that in Germany of all places, that politicians would have a tad more sense. Perhaps she wants to take over where a certain Herr H left off.

  39. Most Germans are good, decent people. they were lead astray in less enlightened times, as were many Brits, Frenchmen, Americans and Italians of the period.
We in Britain were lucky Oswald Moseley was an incompetent politician, (and an idiot)

  40. Scapegoating a minority group in a time of economic crisis by blaming the situation on them is hardly very original especially when the minority group you are scapegoating is one of the one’s scapegoated before. In short, your politics, Frau Reiche, riecht schrecklich!

  41. “Society is not held together by small groups but from a stable centre.” How right wing/1940s is that statement! Outragous! When’s the next german election? Merkel will be out!

  42. Anthony Maxwell 29 Aug 2012, 12:35pm

Perhaps all German LGBT people should wear Pink triangles.. oh wait, they’ve already tried that.

  43. Is she for real? I just would like to know if she is married or her comments are hypothesis only. If she has children what will be her reaction if they are gays….. I think she might have had a disappointment with some lesbian experience on her church.
