  1. The Ukrainian Public Morality Body.

I feel like I’m trapped in the movie “Footloose”.

    1. Cardinal Capone 17 Aug 2012, 8:10pm

A new target for Sasha Baron Cohen, perhaps.

  2. First Tinky Winky and now Spongebob. Just let them be who they are for goodness sake – no more and no less.

  3. Bit behind, aren’t they? Some US fundies went on about poor old Spongebob years ago:

Stupid then and stupid now – the paranoid anti-gay groups not the innocent cartoon :D

    1. Cardinal Capone 17 Aug 2012, 7:59pm

No doubt that’s where they get their propaganda and funding.

Still, the Ukraine does have some really cute and hunky gymnasts for us preverts to gawk at.

  4. Interesting – can’t wait for their findings on whether Papa Smurf is a top or a bottom, and whether Pooh and Piglet secretly engage in bondage.

  5. He’s a talking sponge living in the sea! i don’t think it’s even possible for him to have sex!

    1. Watch this space – next they will claim Jaws the shark is gay too

    2. Ward and George in Hawaii 18 Aug 2012, 2:55am

All that stinks must converge! — The fascists in power in Georgia and the Ukraine and our anti-human right wingers clearly share ground — and I say to hell with them all!

      Ward and George
      55 years together,
      And yet –
      Strangers before the law

Obviously Spongebob is gay. He lives with Brian. Oh, hang on a minute…Brian is a snail…OK Spongebob is not only gay he is into bestiality to boot! Sarcasm aside. I’m wondering who actually does the translations. Just saying….

    1. Mumbo Jumbo 17 Aug 2012, 1:25pm

Nah, Patrick the pink starfish is gay. Spongebob is probably just gay curious :-)

    2. Lynda Yilmaz 17 Aug 2012, 2:43pm

Of course I meant ‘Gary’ not Brian. I’m getting my character snails confused. Who wouldn’t be confused!

  7. Comes to something when invertebrates who live in a pineapple under the sea are less behind the times than Ukraine’s National Expert Commission for Protecting Public Morality.
Don’t tell them about Roger the Alien from ‘American Dad’ or they might just ban television!

  8. Squidward maybe but spongebob? Red tie and Brown suit- no way has a gay man picked those clothes.

  9. They probably pine for the days of totalitarianism. Rigid rules and this sort of silliness may make them feel secure?

  10. Will they allow “Family Guy” and Stewie?

    1. It’s a sure bet they will never allow the animated series of “Rick and Steve, the happiest gay couple in the world” (too sad, because it is priceless!)

  11. Well they are right in one respect. Spongebob is bad for kids but not for been gay…..just because it’s a sh!t show!

    1. Cardinal Capone 17 Aug 2012, 8:02pm

You mean you watch kids’ TV?

  12. If they are this outraged over Sponge Bob… Snow White and the seven dwarf doesn’t stand a chance! and then there are the “three little pigs” not to mention the cross dressing wolf in Little Red Riding Hood. Next they will say that Yogi and Boo Boo, Pixie and Dixie or Tom and Jerry promote Marriage equality “as if” ROFLMAO at this kind of stupidity!

  13. Paddyswurds 17 Aug 2012, 2:48pm

Children “laugh out loud” That phrase right there just about says it all about Ukraine.
What an unbelievably backward, twisted, homophobic and racist hole Ukraine is.

    1. Cardinal Capone 17 Aug 2012, 8:03pm

      Nice gymnasts though…

  14. Is the Ukraine in Africa?

    1. So only African countries are homophobic?

      Where have you been living.

    2. Paddyswurds 17 Aug 2012, 7:15pm

No Gordy. Ukraine is in NE Europe and is on the south west border of the present Russian Federation. It was part of the Soviet Union until that folly broke up in the 80s. Homophobia and racism is rife and the whole country is like an abandoned industrial site. Yeukkkk!

  15. “pull faces and make jokes in front of adults they don’t know, laugh out loud and repeat nonsense phrases in a brazen manner,”
Ahh, the happy life of homosexuals…
    I think not.

    1. Cardinal Capone 17 Aug 2012, 8:09pm

LOL. Destroying society by creating a race of stand-up comedians.

Were they watching Monty Python by mistake?

  16. He’s gayer than an Oreo cookie. ;)

    1. Cardinal Capone 17 Aug 2012, 8:17pm

Is Dana a man’s name where you are?

      1. It’s used by by both men and women.

  17. Christopher 17 Aug 2012, 5:50pm

Their heterosexuality sure must be fragile… it seems to be so easily threatened!

And who wouldn’t want to be gay? All those good-looking gym bodies sweating to the disco music…. is it getting hot in here or is it just me??

  18. Paddyswurds 17 Aug 2012, 7:20pm

What sort of a control freak country has a public morality body ffs.

    1. Cardinal Capone 17 Aug 2012, 8:22pm

Malaysia. With their own police force.

  19. Why is it that those who have grandiose ideas about defending morality are often the same people who appear to have little morality in the first place? o.O

They use code-words like ‘morality’ and ‘family’ but in the end it’s just about coming up with wonderful new excuses to hate and spread lies.

They criticize these shows for turning people into “losers”… I wonder what thrilling, action-packed, socially exhilarating, win-filled lives they live! xD

    Silly pedants :3

  20. spongebob is gay? u have got to be kidding me right?
sponge bob is not gay, spongebob…is a sponge!!!!!!!
the brains on some of these people!!

  21. I wish society would stop trying to sexualise the behaviour of children and recognise that sexual preferences and behaviour is an adult, or at least adolescent issue. I see children t-shirts with provocative logo’s or designs, push up bra’s for 9 yr olds and talk of cartoon characters being gay. It’s madness.

My 5 yr old nephew and I watch spongebob, we laugh at it and pretend to make crabby patties for dinner (just a sandwich really but he thinks it’s fun). He cuddles me and tell me he loves me. He does not understand the concept of sexuality in terms of sex acts and same sex attraction. He is 5 ! What he sees is spongebob who is funny, has friends, is kind to them, goes to work etc etc. I get this, I understand this, I’m not a psychologist. I wonder where they dig up these so called professionals who come up with this rubbish.

  22. Paddyswurds 18 Aug 2012, 12:21pm

Having railed at Ukraine for it’s backward attitude to education and children, one then in calmer moments, considers the folly of selling such programs to countries not very far out of the 19th century. The children these programs are viewed by in the west are intellectually light years ahead of places like Ukraine. The nuances language and ethics of these programs are away beyond even the most seasoned oldtimer in Eastern Europe never mind children who are toilt trained like dogs; ie; pushed out to the yard to do their business.Likewise the schools and quite obviously the 3rd level ed. This is evident from the rhetoric emanating from eastern Europe currently.
I say reerect the iron curtain and leave the whole sorry mess to just fester in their own ignorance……

  23. Gay Activist Paul Mitchell 19 Aug 2012, 3:59am

i grew up with Spongbob Square Pants – he was a laugh and it did not turn me gay because YOU ARE BORN GAY NOT MADE GAY!

Gee wiz, next thing they will target is the the Simpsons character who spends most of his time in prison for crimes is the red haired octopus Sideshow Bob.

Goodness sake some people such as people in Russia, Ukraine and the US state of Tennessee have way too much time on their hands trying to pass “anti-gay propaganda” or “don’t say gay” laws.

  24. Coming from a country with a rapidly declining life expectancy and extremely poor quality of life, Spongebob Squarepants is the least of their problems!
