      Its my understanding that the CU type deal in Chech republic is very weak. Better then nothing, though.

    Of the former Warsaw Pact countries, the Czech Republic is perhaps the most progressive when it comes to LGBT issues (if you don’t count East Germany which is now part of the reunified Germany). I hope that they will not make the retrograde step of making gay marriages unconstitutional, as in Hungary where it is banned under the new constitution although they have registered partnerships as well. I hope that the positive attitudes of the Czech Republic will influence it’s neighbours to the east.
