Ps. I see vatileaks made it to channel 4 news finally, but not much analysis of who the alleged corrupt people in the Vatican are. We should be told if the ones persecuting us are the corrupt ones.

  4. “Last week, Icelandinc actress and musician Bjork wrote in support of Pussy Riot, posting to Facebook: ‘The Russian authorities should let them go home to their families and children.’”—Talk about a sexist “pay no attention to the little women, they’re only good for home and kids and know nothing about politics” line!

    1. People into politics don’t have families and kids?

I didn’t read it as a sexist comment – I read it as let them go back to their normal lives.

    2. You must seriously got out of your way to find things to upset you! If I were in jail I’m pretty sure my priorities would be getting out to be with my loved ones, not ‘OMG what about my career?!’

      1. Yes, but you didn’t demonstrate in a Moscow cathedral against lack of free elections and free speech, ensuring a video of it got on the web. And you haven’t bravely gone through a long detention and trial already, still standing out for those freedoms that few others are prepared to even mention. They may be made of sterner stuff.

Of course, if such an appeal got them set free… but it didn’t.
