A pity we don’t have a similar protest in the UK. Good luck, Australia. These protests should be frequent and loud, embarrass the government into keeping in step with the public.
The Aussie PM is “unbending in her support of traditional marriage”. So are most of us. We not asking for same sex marriage to replace the traditional version!

Peter, you sound as if you are mimicing the hostile misogyny of most of the Australian press in respect to how and what they report on Julia Gillard. Compared to the alternative she is not only proving herself as strong and decisive on most issues but also subject to some of the worst and most hateful reporting I have ever read. It reflects as your comment does, our inmaturity as a nation.
This Government is a complete joke and embarrassment and the the worst in Australians history! I will guarantee you that Australia will have full marriage equality by 2020.
