9:32 PM — A school in Ohio has agreed to pay $30,000 to a gay student who was attacked by a classmate. Zach King, who was 15 at the time of the November 2011 attack, suffered a concussion and lost several teeth in the incident, which was filmed and put on the internet.
New York celebrates one year of gay marriage 5
9:29 PM — New York will celebrate one year of marriage equality this week. The marriage equality law came into action on July 24th last year, making New York the sixth US state to give gay couples the right to wed. On the first day, 659 gay couples married.
