  1. It’s truly amazing (and exciting!) to see not only what the Alderman said about his ward being diverse, and thus would not permit a Chick-fil-A store in the neighborhood. However, reading (Mayor) Rahm Emanual’s “Chick-fil-A values are not Chicago values” truly shocked me! Way to go,Rahm! (Too bad you weren’t this outspoken when you were in Washington.) And as far as “Biblical Values” on which Chick-fil-A’s owner says his firm bases its “governance”, I want to know if the chickens they use follow the dietary laws as laid out in the book of Leviticus? If not, than they sure as chicken s**t better start following the rules! And did they have the cooking methods used by C.f.A. back in “Biblical Times”? I doubt they had huge stoves, ovens, fryers? (I have never patronized a C.f.A store, so I don’t know how they cook their “birds”.) So, quit this “Biblical Rules” NOW, because if you can’t see the absurdity in your ways (especially keeping a certain group of people outside your “walls” Yech!

  2. Love it. Looks like America’s waking up (at least parts) and supporting equal rights, not matter which minority needs it.
Well done to the mayors, and Mr.Moreno.

  3. I sincerely hope that more localities will follow the lead of Boston and Chicago.

  4. This is great stuff. Unimaginable juts a few years ago.

  5. The more cities take this stance, the better.

It does look like the company may have shot themselves in the foot in a similar way to Ratners did years ago. I certainly hope that they have.

  6. Applebee’s and Kraft Foods are still doing business with Chick-fil-A. Just to let you know…

  7. Is Chick-Fil-A a franchise business? If so, I feel sorry for any franchise owner who isn’t homophobic but will lose business over this.

Hopefully they can claim damages from the corporation for damaging their businesses.

Would be great to see their own hatred taking them down from the inside.

As far as I can tell, it is not franchised. If it were, they would not be able to monitor their staff and retain such a stranglehold on who they employ.
