Bristol Palin has denied that her three-year-old son Tripp used a homophobic slur on her reality TV show.

A clip from Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp appeared on YouTube last week and seemed to show Tripp calling his aunt a “faggot”.

In the clip, the word was bleeped out but the poster added subtitles which suggested that the word was the anti-gay slur.

However, Palin and a showrunner have now said that the child used another ‘f word’ and The Advocate, which reported today that it had seen an uncensored version, concedes that the word does appear to be “f**king”.

Showrunner Matt Lutz told the news source: “It is the honest-to-God truth. He doesn’t know that word. They don’t throw that word around in front of him.”

Palin wrote on her blog: “As I’ve said before, I sometimes struggle to raise Tripp. However, he does not use slurs.. Let me be clear. I’m not proud of what he did say. Sadly, he used a different ‘f word.'”

But she added: “I do oppose gay marriage, as I’ve written about before… I guess the temptation to label my three year old son is just too great for the lefty papers to resist.”
