Despite the family killing not being a recent case, Turkey is still seen as one of the worst countries in Europe to be gay .
Homosexuality is legal but discrimination is prevalent.
I stand by my petition and feel that it is still important and relevant to petition President Gul, to inshore that Turkey make such acts into hate crimes, establish laws condemning hate crime, homophobia and honour killings, provide extra protection for victims of hate-crime, and establish laws to prevent violence against gay and transgender citizens.
I hope that this petition is still supported as well as it has been despite his news.

Instead of killing his brother, he should have defended him by holding the ones making taunts to account. The kid’s loyalties laid int he wrong direction, obviously. He was more worried about his a-hole buddies’ opinions than about his own brother’s life. The kid is scum.
