I am not condeming or praising the state or the couple hear but I just find it very ironic that we are all complaining at the fact society see civil partnerships as second rate but hear we have two woman looking down on the idea of being reffered to as civil partners themselfs.

    1. I consider civil partnership to be inferior because it IS inferior. Separate but equal never is, the new mechanism that is created as a proxy for what already exists tends to be seen as second rate.

Of the top of my head, I know that there was a study in New Jersey, which has a civil union relationship but not marriage proved this beyond a doubt.

Do you want to wait a couple of generations for the “new” (and utterly unnecessary) lexicon of civil partnerships to be accepted? Or shall we stop jerking around and call it what it is – marriage.

In my mind, love and marriage is equal for everyone. Lesbian and gay have the same rights to marry. If you find the right one, why hesitate to enjoy it as your will. If you don’t find, maybe you can go to lesbianfish, it’s a site for lesbian girls. It’s cool.
