London: Police continue to appeal over gay sauna death

Police in London are continuing to appeal for information after a body was discovered in a gay sauna in east London early on Wednesday morning.

Detectives believe they had identified the man, a foreign national, who is believed to have died between Tuesday evening and the early hours of the following day.

The man’s body was discovered at the Chariots Roman Spa on Fairchild Street in Shoreditch after police and an ambulance were called at 7.20am.

Officers were awaiting formal identification of the deceased this morning and are treating the death as unexplained. Toxicology reports were pending.

The police continue to appeal to anyone who was at the spa on the evening of Tuesday, 10 July, or early Wednesday morning.
