‘Equality’ in that vile and bigoted Mormon cult? NEVER!

But of course their so-called prophet (profit) and president in Utah might just get a divine ‘equality’ message from Joe Smith from above to say it’s OK. Just don’t hold your breath.

Romney is rotten to the core.

      1. There are three highly active Mormon-oriented gay rights groups – Affirmation, Mormons Building Bridges, and Mormons For Marriage (for marriage equality). And there are certainly progressive pro-equality Mormons who read Pink News. Most Mormons under 40 are more supportive of gay equality, although they still may differ over issues like marriage equality. One can’t underestimate the amount of Mormons who opposed Prop H8. I’m for gay equality including marriage equality, and my entire family (including those in their 60s) are too. With the church’s official opposition, I blame that the leaders are mostly in their 70s, 80s and 90s, and are more calcified and less adaptable. While this means the church is expected to only change decades after everyone else, the younger membership certainly is changing more favorably towards gay issues – not unlike American Catholic members who largely take more progressive social attitudes than the Vatican does.

Local reports here said he told the NAACP that he could do more for the African-American community than President Obama. *Really*? What’s doubly concerning is he used those same words back in 1994 when he ran for senate against Ted Kennedy. That’s when he said he could do more for the gay community than Senator Kennedy.

Lesson to be learned? Once again it’s clear to see this man will say anything to anyone in an effort to get elected.

Mr Romney, who belongs to the Mormon Church cult, is support by the Mormon Church cult money, and who does not uphold, support or beleive in the American Constitution and who opposes same-sex marriages and gay rights and who wants to be president? The only way you will ever be president of the USA is through corrupt means. Please close the door on your way out. Mr Romney. There is no way that you will become president of America. Next.

“The only way you will ever be president of the USA is through corrupt means.”
Why does that not fill me with confidence? I seem to recall a certain Florida ballot which got called for the Democrats by every news outlet barring Fox news whereupon everyone else decided they must have their stats wrong and we got George W for president after months of legal wrangling.

I’m of the view that common sense will prevail and this man won’t get elected, but I never thought GWB would ever get in the whitehouse but he did.

He really is a vile and sad excuse for a human being! Let’s hope the US electorate sees him for the bigot he is and does not allow him entry into office!

  9. He’s running scared – but he made his choice – the wrong side of history.

The choice he made is the one I would expect from a homophobic bully who has physically assaulted people because he perceives them as gay.

Easy to dismiss. Just make sure the NAACP members see the denial of equality he espouses. After Obama’s public change of heart some months ago the NAACP made a big deal on how they see this as a civil rights issue. Romney facing them and saying that another group should now ride at the back of the bus isn’t going to go down well at all.

The only people who’ll take this as a positive will be the same WASPs that will vote Republican whatever happens. I fully believe he may have just lost a couple of states.

    Shameful.

How can he say he would represent Americans of “every race, creed and sexual orientation” but then oppose marriage Equality?

Mr Romney you might say you promise to promote strong families but Gay people come from and some have families of their own. Why don’t they deserve to be treated equally and why Shouldn’t they have the right to marriage if in your words it promote family?

    Disgusting man!

This is the same hypocrite who courted the gay vote while governor of Massachusetts as well as instituted a state universal health care system which he now opposes in the form of Obama’s health care reform based on the one he introduced. It’s astonishing that gay republicans are supporting this moron who opposes their equality. He even opposes non-discrimination for LGBT people in the delivery of goods and services, yet there he is saying he’ll represent every race, creed and sexual orientation. Hypocrite and bigot! What a dumb electorate to even consider this low information idiot a presidential contender.
