Boy George criticised a photographer today over a series of images of him performing at WorldPride in London this weekend.

Nicolas Chinardet, who has written for PinkNews.co.uk in the past, was covering the event in Trafalgar Square with photographer accreditation from Pride London.

He published a series of photographs of the former Culture Club singer performing, taken from the photographers’ pit in front of the stage, with a link to the Flickr album on Twitter earlier today.

Boy George replied to him directly on the micro-blogging site, saying: “You should edit with more consideration! I did not give you permission to shoot me and then put them online?”

Mr Chinardet tweeted in response that he had had a press pass to photograph the event.

Boy George wrote generally to his 215,000 followers: “If you are shit photographer keep your work to yourself or get a fucking ladder! If you are a theatre critic go and fuck a play!

“Twitter should have heat gages [sic] so that I can prove I actually don’t give a flying ming vase about unimportant stuff!”

Mr Chinardet responded to him: “If you don’t like the angles, you can tell the organisers not to force us to sit down.”

The photographer tweeted: “The boy has now blocked me… clearly this is not unimportant stuff.”

The singer later added: “I might be in full war paint with a big glittery hat cocked to one side but that don’t mean I am ready for my close up! F**K off!

“I don’t like photographers, well, maybe about 5. I’ve said it now – fuck off! Some people hate spiders I hate cameras! Except polaroid!

“I reserve the right to ugly in private and in public! Lol! Mousecake!”

Mr Chinardet had also posted photos on Twitter today of Deborah Cox on the main stage as well as the Kaleidoscope Trust, the LGBT+ Liberal Democrats group and Stonewall’s Chief Executive Ben Summerskill on the march route.
