I guess you aren’t fully appraised of the facts. How could she be denied communion because of her gender????? That makes absolutely nonsense. Washington Post coverage made it entirely clear that her sexual orientation was the reason she was denied communion.

When this story first did the rounds she only wants to do communion because it was her mother’s funeral and it was what her mother would have wanted her to do. I don’t think the woman in question was still a practicing Catholic at the time but was doing it for her dead Mum.
