Still no jail time for threatning a life. I bet if this was the daugther of some local Lord, he would have got 5 years ! Disgusting. The laws an ass.

  2. What a terrible situation to be in. The law really is an ass.

I hope Miss Ford will find the strength to move on with her life. Goodness knows she will have fought hard to be the happy, bubbly person she was once I hope she gets herself back to that point. Good luck to her!

Terrible thing, but at least in Suffolk they pursue it, and prosecute. This should at least make him think (I do wonder about the closing of mental subnormality hospitals – borderline cases are no in the community instead – and making the lives of the ordinary poor miserable). I hope some other areas start pursueing these things properly, because there are many intimidated people having to just live with it.

  4. My advice to Miss Ford is to move as soon as possible- this builder will now be all out to ‘get’ her back. Ignorant people like him are never going to change.

  5. Sad story. A lot of people live by themselves and it must be very frightening to feel threatened and unsafe. I hope Miss Ford finds a peaceful place to live.

As nice as it is to hear that this vile man has been taken to court, I cannot help that he was given fines for one crime (damages, not abuse), and a slap on the wrist for the abuse!!!!

Yes, items were damaged, but they can be easily replaced. Self confidence and fragments of life cannot be so easily replaced

  7. Threats to kill worth a mere £800?! Worrying indeed. It’s a shame that the LGBT community is so spread out & we often find ourselves the ‘tokens’ on a street or block of flats. Wouldn’t it be great if we lived in one fabulous gated community! Hope Miss Ford can recover & has the support she needs.

Wouldn’t it be great if we lived in one fabulous gated community! oh boy that would be so fab xxx

Unacceptable behaviour!! What a nasty person. I truly feel for Miss Ford and hope she can start to build her life again from such aggression and attitude.

As for the punishment, it’s hardly a deterrent is it? Laws need to reflect that this is unacceptable and give reason to people to think before they act.

  9. This guy is a pathetic coward to pick on a woman on her own and, yes, he would creep me out too. He obviously seems to be obsessed with Miss Ford as he has clearly been stalking and harassing her with some intensity! Undoubtedly, he’s a danger to women (particularly trans women) and his activities should at the very least be monitored closely. An £800 fine will just not cut it and is an insult to women if that’s how low they regard our right to feel safe! This woman needs to be assured that this dreadful and terrifying experience will never happen to her again so that she can go on with her life and feel safe – if it is at all possible to pick up the pieces from this vile campaign of harassment that seems to have taken place against her. Best wishes to Miss Ford and I hope that she never again has to put up with an ordeal as traumatic as this.

  10. Oh and “Tom Sawyer”? What a dumbass name!

Too bloody right! The bloody idiot…!

I think its interesting to consider where the term ‘it’ comes from…

I fully support recent work by campaigners to highlight the stupidity of thinking of gender (and indeed sexuality) only in binary terms.

The fact that this idiot refers to someone as ‘it’ demonstrates how deeply challenging he finds the notion of someone being outside of that rigid binary world that he’s been indoctrinated into…

(That he would also in the same breath then call her a ‘faggot’ equally demonstrates how wobbly even those foundations are to start with…)

  12. I see your humour levels match your diminished mental capacity.

    How embarrassing for you.

C’mon Will we know surely this person is deliberately making fake comments for negative responses.

All it show is it has NO opinion.

@Aiden. I am the victim in this case! I lost 4 months of my life and was put through 11 days of hell by that “so called man” The words it and tranny and also faggot are the only words that could be published. The other words used again’st me would not be allowed to be put in print (unless it was real low down gutter press) .You think this artical is hilarious? May i ask what you are even doing commenting on it if you think what happened to me is so funny? You are bordering on a transphobic yourself.

This part of my life has been extremely traumatic for me please do not rub it in.

The full artical states i am a pre-op transexual! I find the word tranny insulting . I an ideal world i would be called just what i am “A woman” and a proud one at that .

I would like to thank the rest of you for your kind thoughts and comments .
    Julia Ford x.

Hi all. Just for the record i was the victim in this case and i thank you all for your kind thoughts (i will come to Aiden in a bit) . The full story of what happened to me is not here It would take up to many pages” I was put through 11 days of hell by that so called man! and i have no problem in saying it was his friends who helped him try to ruin my life not other residents of the block as i have evidence of that.
Aiden! You find this artical hilarious? That man made me lose my home and 4 months of my life . The other names he used would never be allowed to be put into print in but i do find the word “tranny” ofensive. In an ideal world i would not need labels because i am just a woman! Ok i was not born in a female body but thats not the point “i am female”.
As you seem to find this artical hilarious then maybe you should keep your comments to yourself because if you ever had to endure what i did then you would not be laughing.
Again thank you for all of your kind thoughts Julia x

  15. Its is 8 years since the Gender recognition act became law.

There has not been one conviction or case brought to court in all this time for a breach of a transsexuals privacy.

But in Wales a man has been fined for putting an electric collar on a dog.

The obvious conclusion is therefore that a dog has more rights than a transsexual person.

I do hope the CPS, Department of Justice and the Equality Minister read this and get the message about transsexual rights – we have very few or none at all.
