At a licencing hearing this week “The Den” was described by the Met as a “crime generator” and the inevitable happened:

A sad decline from the days when it was “The End” run by Laylo and Mr C (front man of the Shamen and later a DJ alongside Oakenfold at the legendary Megatripolis@Heaven).

      Those were the days……….

      1. so its basically because the owners haven’t done enough to tackle the antisocial issues then. Perhaps a change in management is required.

Loss of Licence, loss of venue and loss of facebook. Oh dear! Someone has not been very good at finger on the pulse.

Perhaps Popstarz has had its day?

Sounds like you have been managed by the World Pride Cttee lol!

    1. It used to be such a great night when it was held at the Scala

Yes PC I remember it when they were at Paradise, Angel. God that was around the very early 90s.

  4. Some fond memories of visiting this club as a student, the drink prices aside. Catered very well to most tastes although I haven’t been there in recent years.
