  1. Look, there were problems with some Homophobic Yobs causing trouble so a ‘Small’ fee helps to keep them out.

However its way too expensive & your BANNED from bringing your own drinks & food…NOT GOOD!

Brighton Pride could easily go the same way as London Pride with no large park event.

How about a £5 fee with a few security &/or extra police to keep us all safe & the wankers out?

This sounds good but is concerning. Again it sounds like gay culture is being commercialised, bastardised and prostituted for corprate gain. I am not surprised the local mayor has a big beaming smile across his face.

Instead of the town going cap & hand to the tory government for funding and to the police of security the same community are being asked to pay for there own right to freedom of assymbly and inclusion in cultural undertakings.

Everybody in a real crisis due to there sexual/gender orientation knows LGBT is an acronym for political bought over coperate we don’t give two for local gay people anyway, so let’s not play pretend hear.

While it’s nice to raise money for HIV research and gay rights groups who are these “other community groups” and why is a foundation over seeing it ? Why not the charity commission and what’s with the aggressive charity of pay or don’t take part ? Why not have a couple of free stands and tins and let the public give of there own choice ?

“Gay culture being commercialised, bastardised and prostituted for corporate gain?” Sounds just like Christmas!

      “Corporate”?
      Which “corporation” might that be?
It is a publicly funded event that has started charging to keep out the riff-raff. Now it simply hands back whatever profits they made back the gay people.
Get off your lefty horse and stop spouting this Neo-Marxist grow-your-own-denim twaddle.

    Fantastic!!!

I note no story yet here about the London World Pride debt problem and the fact there may not be a World Pride.
