  1. A troll ignored is a troll less. Please do not feed the trolls.

    1. Well said :-)

        1. I replied to Man X, however you telling everyone not to reply to people in every other post is just as bad as reading their posts because we have to read it every other line. We have got the message. We are not replying to trolls. Please know that we know this now.

          1. Something of an exaggeration on your part. I leave it to Pink News to do whatever it is going to do about this problem. I will make no further posts on that topic.

Well it’s good to have you here while your gal is with her sick parents. Comforting to know there are still some fine men out there who won’t stray when the woman is away.

  3. For centuries the Roman cult has tried to suppress what it didn’t like, or what contradicted its hateful teachings. For centuries the Vatican refused to believe that the world was round, that everyone was equal regardless of gender or creed.

However, when you note that the Vatican says that condoms increases the transmission of HIV, then you know that it’s a cult which is not based in common sense.

    1. There is a new Christian cult called Christian guerrillas who spy in LGBT people to make trouble for them.

Replying to trolls encourages their behaviour. Ignored trolls can become increasingly desperate and silly: see the effete and solipsistic “Inspector General” at . Perhaps it is also best for posters not to discuss among ourselves the behaviour of particular trolls. They crave attention.

The trolls are damaged: by abusive parents, religiously-induced guilt, feelings of social inadequacy, loneliness, human neglect, sexual resentment, repressed homosexuality (just look at their phraseology and what they are obsessed about!), or who knows what. People normally don’t feel ok about others when they don’t feel ok about themselves.

The trolls need to be away from their PC and whisky bottle, seeking out psychotherapy and the compassionate human contact of which they have been deprived.

    1. Please do not feed the trolls – they love these kinds of post.

      1. Not when people take note and ignore them they don’t. The evidence to prove that is before you own eyes.

    2. The only way to get rid of this idiot is for pink news to delete his/her comments. Ignoring it doesn’t seem to be having the effect you think – I’ve never seen so much babbling nonsense from him/her.

Pink news has to moderate the comments.

  5. So the book was written in 2005 and the Vatican are now criticising it in 2012, that is only 7 years; half the usual time for the hate filled old men to comment. They must be upset.

    1. Paddyswurds 5 Jun 2012, 12:52am

….they were busy covering up their rape and abuse of little children all over the world….

      1. I thought that was the Public Relations department and this was the Evil Books department, or are they just one in the same?

    2. “So the book was written in 2005 and the Vatican are now criticising it in 2012, that is only 7 years”

They were too preoccupied with the covering up of child abuse and shoring up the Vatican Bank….

  6. The Pope and the Vatican is attacking their own people, how crazy is that? The Pope does not say anything about all of the children his priest raped and abused, which is still going on today.

    1. Robert in S. Kensington 5 Jun 2012, 12:36pm

Let’s not forget, they also rape and abuse girls, it’s not all male oriented. A report by the conservative John Jay Institute in America issued a report commissioned by the Vatican revealed just that but has never been able to accept the findings for obvious reasons. People tend to lose sight of the fact that as of today, a boy or girl is still being raped and abused by a catholic priest somewhere in the world. It’s been going on for almost two millenia and not likely to stop.

Only the Vatican would say this. It is a church/institution, like Islam that has never evolved.

Has such hardline view of life and it’s objectives. That has one form and nothing else. Cannot see that life is very diverse and has many ways of creating itself. Very shallow.

  8. Those nuns should just start up their own church, elect their own Popess (?), sue the Vatican for a piece of their very lucrative pie, and become a religion of real peace and brother, um, sisterhood of man/woman – well, have to work on the nomenclature a bit, but just tell Pope & cronies to go fly.

  9. When she heard that the Vatican had declared that Just Love posed ‘grave harm’ to the faithful, and that her ideas on masturbation, homosexuality, equal marriage and remarriage were in ‘direct contradiction’ to traditional Catholic teaching on sexual morality, Sister Margaret A. Farley replied in a statement dated June 4, 2012:

“I appreciate the efforts made by the Congregation and its consultants, over several years, to evaluate positions articulated in that book, and I do not dispute the judgment that some of the positions contained within it are not in accord with current official Catholic teaching. In the end, I can only clarify that the book was not intended to be an expression of current official Catholic teaching, nor was it aimed specifically against this teaching. It is of a different genre altogether.”

  10. “…her writings betrayed a ‘defective understanding of the objective nature of natural moral law.’

in other words her writings fail to betray utter load of bollacks like the usual catholic writings

  11. Hacker of the Yard 5 Jun 2012, 10:24am

I believe it’s that nasty homophobic number 2 at the Vatican, Bertone, who’s trying to force all the clerics to fight his antigay crusade.

    1. Paddyswurds 5 Jun 2012, 5:44pm

Number one, Ratzi the Naz! is as bad maybe worse as are the whole rotten cesspit in Rome. Corrupt and immoral old men in pointy hats and frocks presuming to tell the world how we should live our short lives, while they rape and pillage with impunity….

  12. Paddyswurds 5 Jun 2012, 11:04am

‘’direct contradiction’ to traditional Catholic teaching on sexual morality.” ….those few words really did anger me when I think of the utter immorality of the RCC and it’s clergy over the centuries toward the innocent, the children of the World, who by no choice of their own were being indoctrinated into the Abrahamic cults fantasy of lies and out and out fraud. The rape and physical abuse of countless children which is seen as the main raison de’etra of the church of Rome should be their only concern not the scribblings of a well meaning American nun.
Whether this comment makes any sense or not is telling as I am so angry at the sheer hypocrisy of these old men closeted in ostentatious splendor in a palace in southern Europe and with no real understanding of the world the rest of us inhabit…….

  13. Dr Stephen C. Lovatt 5 Jun 2012, 11:09am

I have written a book on this topic.

“Faithful to the Truth: how to be an orthodox gay Catholic”

    It is available on Amazon.

I wish that the Vatican would condemn mine too – it would give me some valuable publicity.

  14. At least this nun is more liberal, forward thinking and open minded, unlike the rest of the Catholic Cult!

  15. Robert in S. Kensington 5 Jun 2012, 12:29pm

Homosexual acts disordered? Really, then so must hetero intercourse which does NOT result in procreation applicable to both fertile and infertile hetero couples. Artificial birth control is banned by the Vatican so that too must also be considered disordered and against so called ‘natural’ law. Celibacy too could be construed as unnatural and disordered. The hypocrisy is mind-boggling.

  16. Another Hannah 5 Jun 2012, 1:16pm

Does anybody give any credence to the pope and vatican anymore? Nothing but selfish immoral drivel. They resent the evidnce found against them being known, bu they can spout the biggest load of old nonesense, drivel and lies going and that’s fine. They are only worthy of being ignored.

  17. She looks like a sweety. Good on her.

  18. Anyone who believes that there is a ‘natural moral law’ with an ‘objective nature’ is the one with ‘defective understanding’.
I have often found Catholic monks and nuns to be thoughtful, intelligent and highly educated people quite at odds with the official Church dogma and heirarchy, though, of course, I don’t go along with their supernatural beliefs. Historically they have often been the meditative dreamers and radical thinkers that the repressive priests and bishops have been openly suspicious of.
This would seem to be another case of the same.

  19. de Villiers 5 Jun 2012, 8:32pm

Her theological writing is excellent, rigorously argued and with deeply thoughtful insight.
