  1. And extraordinary and welcome development.

Once again we have the inevitable schism between religions and denominations – Some feel that their rights are compromised by not helping us marry, others feel that their rights are compromised if they are not allowed to stop us.

There is no right or wrong answer in terms of understanding the true wishes of an unproven supernatural entity. As an argument, it should have no power. Which leaves us only with the secular – and there is no secular argument either.

BUT – and this is the problem – evangelical and fundamentalist faiths will still fight this tooth and nail and insist that they are the one “true” faith. A depressing fact of religion since the moment religion was invented.

There is the Devlin v Hart debate.

  2. The thought for the day, an ignored troll is a pissed off troll. Piss a troll off today.

    1. Its positively a hoot watching it fret, what ho types? Lol

  3. American Conservative Jews make Yahweh happy.

  4. Good news, if anybody knows oppression it is my friends the Jews, they know what freedom means, as should we all. Shalom

We wouldn’t want an accident, like the one that happened up your mother’s shi*ter, which of course led to her pregnancy with you.

  6. It really is better to ignore them Shake Spear. They cannot stand the lack of attention: have a look at the hysterical and desperate comments in the Green Lantern story. Very funny and very sad at the same time.

It is really difficult not to reply and challenge their nasty little statements, but if they don’t get any attention they will go away.

“To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead.”

Have a look at the Green Lantern story to see how being ignored upsets them

    1. Oh good God, I see what you mean – freakish level of attention-seeking. I suppose it’s the result of having nothing more than a bottle for company on a Saturday night, poor little thing.

    2. Rehan, it’s by turns amazing, funny, and pathetic.

It resorted to having conversations with itself. Dozens and dozens of posts, all ignored. Increasingly hysterical, and all hidden.

As you say: a freakish level of attention-seeking.

Ignoring them works, and is also very amusing.

      1. Same on the Tatchell/Queen thread – pathetic most of all.

        1. Well, its not like we didn’t already think it had acute mental health problems, so its behaviour is not really a surprise. But it IS funny. :)

  8. Goodness – now even in the USA the C-word doesn’t necessarily signal opposition to equal marriage!

  9. Good news. It only adds to the social pressure on the religious bigots to conform to the principles of democracy, and forces them to resort to anonymous puerile comments on a gay site, like Inspector Keith here. It is truly a delight to see society changing and their desperation.

This is a significant step in the right direction especially as the American Jewish Lobby is associated with the Republican Party.

  11. Given the obscene attitudes historically to the Jews of your pestilential religion (yes, we know who you are), why don’t you shut the f@@@ up?

  12. Wonderful news.
