This news pleases me. The RVT/GMFA Sports day is really good fun even as a spectator and would advise anyone in London to go along, it is a great atmosphere. Even if you don’t live in London you should come down for the day.

“The Vauxhall Sports Day will see the handbag toss, the 50m mince and the Space Hopper relay making their return to south London in the Olympic year.”

At the risk of sounding like a total killjoy, I think I’ll avoid it. While gay individuals should be able to have a joke about themselves, I think the above just falls into bad taste. Considering the rampant homophobia that still occurs at many sporting events, I don’t think organising games like the ’50m mince’ are particularly helpful.

Although the cause is a good one, so best of luck in raising some needed funds.

I wonder which will make it to the ‘cottaging’ finals? I bet they can ‘bugger for Britain’
