I watched Ukraine thuggery on Panorama this week, on an exposé of fascism, racism and violence at soccer matches. Their authorities are not bothered about such things, let alone violence against or the rights of sexual minorities.

That country should not even be on the waiting list to join the EU, they are so far away from civilisation as we know it.

    1. agree

    2. Mumbo Jumbo 29 May 2012, 6:40pm

I watched the programme and was left wondering why the dangers to LGBT people were not mentioned. Not the first time the BBC have considered homophobia as being of lesser or no importance.

  2. Garry Cassell 29 May 2012, 3:13pm

Shame, shame, shame…the political leaders ,if I could lower myself to call them leaders, should be locked away in utter darkness where they belong…they are a cancer on the planet..

  3. That There Other David 29 May 2012, 3:34pm

Nasty. It seems they are far closer to the Russians than they’d ever like to admit.

    1. Their contempt for civil rights and freedom makes them more suited to be in the Russian sphere of influence. They will feel more at home there.

  4. “The scale of the homodeviant communities immorality is breath taking”

As is the scale of one “man’s” obsession with LGBT individuals that he has to constantly troll a newsite for LGBT people constantly spouting off a lot of offensive and unwelcome nonsense despite many requests not to do so as well as the many, MANY instances of having his user IDs blocked.

“The aforementioned spread plagues that have killed many innocent babies and those practitioners are bloodguilty.”

And on this point Keith, as a practitioner of homophobia how many lives are you potentially guilty of killing with your offensive and downright disgusting rhetoric, oh wait that’s right you don’t know them so why should you care right?

    1. GingerlyColors 29 May 2012, 5:39pm

I don’t know why you even bother feeding that troll – you may have seen him trolling one of the gay chat sites I use so at least you can see Keith’s face!

  5. Liar-false statistics…and wild assertions not backed up by a shred of evidence. Grow the F— up…at least one part of your moniker is right on the money though-fascism club.

  6. Ukraine,Russia, Latvia..etc..backwards superstitious vicious-natured barbarians-do not and should be considered for any inclusion in European endeavors

  7. kissing passes disease, ban it. physical contact will pass virus/bacteria more often than non contact, so ban physical contact.

Lesbians has the least(or no) risk of contracting AIDS, ban heterosexual sex.

heterosexual couples can have babies by IVF and select good genes for babies so they won’t be born with crippling diseases.

Ban idiots from having babies, really, they would just teach the wrong things

  8. Go live there then-your idiocy is “breathtaking.” should feel right at home.

Here are other platforms you may wish to support:

Penecillin does not work as an antibiotic

Eyeglasses are not natural and must be banned.

Flossing teeth does not protect gums.

The Sun revolves around the Earth.

Some people are more equal than others.

The headline should read: “daft anti-gay law”.

  11. When that ‘legally held belief’ leads to legal actions against a population=yes it can cause harm and death example Paragraph 175….you can Google it. I believe your viewpoint is immoral, your statements and your random statistics you pulled out of nowhere as a lie. Your beliefs should be discouraged because they are immoral and potentially malignant to society at large-it is my duty to call you out as the troll you are …you have yet to prove the validity of your viewpoint..Your whole purpose in coming on these sites is disruption..perhaps get a job, a girlfriend(repressed perhaps?) or a creative pursuit and you would not have time to worry about the homos and what they may or may not be doing or whatever you are imagining.

  12. PS: fornication is how a great many people got yes lets make it a capital offense..Aids started spreading initially among straights in Africa then outward-sexuality is irrelevant to a virus. The highest number of new infections are among minorities It is obvious you come from a primitive culture -given your shrieking.

The Ukraine is a country of two halves. While the mainly Catholic western half of the country wants closer ties with the west, the other, Eastern Orthodox east wants closer links with Russia, a fact that almost split the country apart a few years ago. Disregarding the Pope, Catholic populations in general are less homophobic than Eastern Orthodox populations and that is where the problem lies. Sadly these countries will bring in any type of anti-gay legislation short of recriminalising homosexuality. We can be grateful that we only had Clause 28 to contend with, some countries want to lock people up just for saying the ‘H’ word. The Council of Europe must act against such laws.

  14. Where is your link of proof? You stoke baseless fears by your words. answer the other question: by whose authority do YOU call anyone immoral? My statements on HIV/AIDS came from the CDC and you?

  15. Carry On Cardinal ! 29 May 2012, 5:57pm

Can we also reconsider the EU membership of Italy. It allows an absolute monarchy with no human rights to function as an independent state with no accountability right in the middle of Rome. This is relatively new. Even newer, recently this state said it would not abide by Italian laws. Now it has a man under detention in the Vatileaks scandal, which is taking Italy by storm.

  16. “Homosexuality should be a capital offence both in the Ukraine and worldwide.”

Well, its not. So what are you going to do about it, other than get drunk and write provocative crap on a gay site? Woooo, we’re so, so scared.

    F—–g idiot. You’re a joke, Keith, a compete joke.

  17. “i not a moral authority”

You not smart no speak English either.

  18. So I’m a homo-deviant now am I? Feel like we’ve had this conversation before haven’t we?

    1. ….about 50 times.

      1. And yet he helps back up my exact point. Having had this conversation with him before he has no proof of my sexuality. He claims he has the right to view homosexuality as immoral, I perfectly accept that, yet here he is his using terms like homo-deviant(previously butt buggerer) with no factual evidence of this being true. So if not a factual statement then what purpose does it serve if not to be offensive and/or upsetting. Actions which could others to consider harm to themselves or others depending on their mental state.

So again Keith as a practitioner of homophobia how many lives are you potentially guilty of killing with your offensive and downright disgusting rhetoric?

  19. a right-wing propaganda site?

  20. That There Other David 29 May 2012, 9:47pm

It’s only breathtaking if you don’t come up for air once in a while.

  21. jamestoronto 30 May 2012, 5:43am

This “Oh Me Too” stance that Ukraine is taking more than anything else says that it still thinks of itself as a province of the new imperial Russia and not an independent state. One would think that after the centuries of oppression Ukraine has suffered at the hands of the Russians, it would distance itself from everything Russian, but, instead they follow Russia’s lead like slavish sheep.

Ukraine was once able to think for itself but no more, sadly.

  22. The statistics point to you being 98% a closet queer Keith.

    Get over it.

“Incidentally , this is a left wing, homosexual propaganda site. Thought you should know!”

    Did you say something, queer?
