  1. So glad that the wife is supportive and isn’t letting it affect the love they share. If that doesn’t prove that love has nothing to do with gender, I don’t know what does.

I think that love has much to do with gender although not always. One example which appears not to be replicated widely demonstrates that love is not exclusively concerned with gender even if it usually is.

I used to love Against Me! and I still think Thrash Unreal is a great song, despite having moved on frpm their music. It’s great that Laura’s greeted with the respect she deserves.
Transpeople need a positive icon. I mean, us gays have Stephen Fry…

  4. The support Against Me! fans have shown to Laura really is amazing, and it really touches my heart. As a trans person, I know how difficult it can be to transition and the amount of hostility that is out there, if they come to the UK I will definitely be there.

  5. Laura is such a huge inspiration for us transgenders, the best trans icon we had in the last times since Chrisie Edkins. All I hope for her is that she ends up becoming the beautiful woman she always hoped to be and continues making her music.

  7. Great for her and I am really pleased her wife stands “by her wife”. Love is an outstanding power that can overcome the bi-gender view of society! Fact is there is love m/m, f/f and m/f. Same for sexual attraction. That is why equal marriage for everybody is important. Then there will be no more forced divorces and seperations when one partner turns out to be transgender and transitions. I hope I have been the last to be forced to do so in my country. That hurts more than every thing else!!! Good luck Lady.

Good for her, many of us LGBT+ people know that comming out to a few friends is one thing but doing it in front of the media is something very different.
