  1. The sooner this awful excuse for a man is removed from the gene pool the better!

    1. Robert in S. Kensington 25 May 2012, 5:33pm

Obviously an accident of nature, more’s the pity.

  2. Just a nutty old man. He’ll be dead soon.

  3. jonnielondon 25 May 2012, 5:06pm

It hasn’t “killed off” cows, pigs, dogs, cats, or 100’s of other species of animals, nor has it lead to the demise of the human race now at over 6 billion.

    1. it topped 7 billion a few months back… if extinction is on the cards it won’t be through a lack of heteros breeding.
Starvation possibly, but then Mugabe knows all about that.

  4. Robert in S. Kensington 25 May 2012, 5:13pm

The last time I checked, I believe there is an overpopulation problem in many parts of the emerging world, including the African continent. This man is obviously demented. The Christian Institute will of course lap this up.

  5. Paula Thomas 25 May 2012, 5:22pm

There are 7 times 10 to the 9th (that’s a 7 with 9 zeros after it) people in the world. I really think he doesn’t get maths.

    1. Robert in S. Kensington 25 May 2012, 5:32pm

  6. Ugh, choke on elephant fat already!!!

  7. “When God created Adam … if Adam had desired a person like him it would not have made him any happier,”

I don’t think that would be the case, well… unless Mugabe was governing The Garden of Eden – in that situation his abhorrent views and enforcement of these views would probably lead to a gay Adam being miserable.

    1. Oh good, now I have two comments that sound slightly different but convey a similar message… *rolls eyes* Nevermind.

    2. Besides, I believe Adam was white – you know, the way God intended…

      1. Do you? What makes you think that?

        1. I’m guessing Lucius doesn’t really “think” too much Rehan….

          1. Shake Spear 27 May 2012, 1:52pm

I think he thinks more than his detractors. Lucius is being ironic in interpreting the creation story in the classic sense of two white people (and therefore no black ones) being created by God first.

    3. I recon a homosexual Adam would b pleased wiht a man I think it would make him happy.

  8. “When God created Adam … if Adam had desired a person like him it would not have made him any happier,”

No… If Adam desired a man I’m sure he would be delighted to have received one – well, unless Mugabe was governing the Garden of Eden of course, in that situation everybody but Mugabe would be miserable because his government seems to exist to serve him and keep the country from falling apart and being unable to serve him.

  9. Here we go again, chicken little saying the sky is falling. Gays have been around as long as God has been making men to be born on earth and if anything earth will be over populated in less than one hundred years. These merchants of fear want to scare and frighten the weak minded and uneducated people and to stir them up and turn them against the LGBT people. Much like the Catholic church got the masses to form mobs to burn women who they said were witches less than three hundred years ago.

    1. “Will be” overpopulated? The world is ALREADY overpopulated. It has been for decades. Most estimates seem to suggest that we already need the resources of 1.5 earths to sustain what we have already.

  10. Even if that was a credible argument against homosexuality (and what are you going to do, force gay people to reproduce?), with a global population apparently exceeding 7bn extinction is scarcely the problem.

Still, the old fool believes God created Adam, what can you expect? I feel sorry for intelligent Zimbabweans as well as for gay ones.

  11. Mr Mugabe

So lets say gay marriage became legal across the entire globe at midnight tonight – what would the impact be on the population?

Would it lead to a need to close all maternity units, make all midwives and obstetricians redundant?

Would Baby GAP and Mothercare have only a short period left of the business plan?

Would Nestle and SMA be looking for new markets instead of baby formula?

No – heterosexuals would still have sex and children would still be born.

You know what – some of those babies would be gay too.

    1. Keith Farrell 26 May 2012, 3:25pm

well said. idiots like this will never learn, better to lock them in little cages , load them on a ship and sink the ship.

    2. It is like he thinks that us gays are all in hetrosexual relationships until it becomes legal to be in a homosexual one. He must have some deep seated insecurities about his own sexuality if he really thinks that if it was suddenly seen as equal everyone would jump into bed with someone of the same gender.

    3. GingerlyColors 28 May 2012, 7:27pm

And what is going to happen to all these bouncers at Mothercare? Will they have to seek jobs as nightclub doormen instead?

  12. The only things that will lead to the extinction of the human race are so called men like this monster. – War bought about by ignorant, retarded bigots like Mugarbage will finally in the name of backward superstition will be our extinction – NOT the natural attraction between two consenting adults.

  13. Rev Paul Wood 25 May 2012, 6:08pm

If we read Matthew 19 we see Jesus teaches that most people are created for heterosexual marriage. (We too accept this as God’s predominant creation paradigm.) But, unlike some modern Christians, Jesus does not see this as the only honorable way to live. He acknowledges that some human beings have been created by God to follow a less common, but equally legitimate path. There are some who have been “eunachs” since birth, made that way by God. The word used for eunach in Matt19 is not about testicles but about homosexual desire.

Jesus identifies three classes of men who should not marry women. Taking his categories in reverse order, first, there are those who have made themselves “eunuchs” for the kingdom of heaven, i.e., those who foreswear marriage to better serve God. Second, he mentions those who have been “made eunuchs by others,” an apparent reference to castrated males. But Jesus mentions a third category — eunuchs who were born that way. Some might argue that Jesus was

    1. Rev Paul Wood 25 May 2012, 6:09pm

referring to males born without testicles, but this would be extremely rare. Moreover, this interpretation ignores how the term “born eunuchs” was used in other literature of the time.

In the ancient world, including ancient Jewish culture (as reflected in the Talmud), “natural” or “born” eunuchs were not associated with missing testicles. Rather, they were associated with homosexual desire. They were also born that way.

      1. Jesus never existed, it’s nonsense made up to keep people like you in a ‘job’. Have you ever thought of doing something really useful like stacking shelves in a supermarket?

        1. SinnySinSins 26 May 2012, 9:56am

The man is being supportive of homosexuality, and you paint him with the same brush as Romney, Santorum, Palin, Mugabe etc..
Honestly, people like you are petty, hating Christians blindly. You’re just as bad as the anti-gay crowd, you sectarian bigot.

      2. Paul, you are a bore.

        1. Maybe to some people

But if he is, he bores in support of gay people.

    2. Robert in S. Kensington 25 May 2012, 6:21pm

Civil marriage wasn’t around when Jesus “walked” the earth and has nothing to do with biblical marriage which has taken on many forms and redefined if you look at the old testament. Even polygamy was condoned. Was it not Solomon who had 300 wives just as one example?

      1. Rev Paul Wood 25 May 2012, 6:39pm

Civil Marriage pre dates Jesus in some parts of the world.

Certainly that form of marriage and the form currently conducted in registry offices in England (hopefully to be extended to LGBT people shortly) have very little in common with most forms of marriage revealed in the Bible – other than they evidence commitment of people one to another (or others in some instances).
Marriage has been refined either in terms of religion, civil law or both on numerous occasions in history. I see no reason whatsoever that carefully considered revisions that are reasonable and appropriate should not be introduced either in the UK or elsewhere. In terms of same sex couples – that is both reasonable and one would expect any legislation to introduce it would be carefully considered.
In terms of the Zimbabwe situation – failure to be humane to people on the ground of orientation is detestable, evil and depraved. It is a failure of the responsibilities of government and a failure of a man who claims

        1. Rev Paul Wood 25 May 2012, 6:41pm

to be a Christian to live up to the expectations and requirements of the Gospel – notably that to love your neighbour. Neighbour does not reference race, orientation, gender etc – it is all people. Mugabe is a nasty, evil, racist and homophobic bigot who has stolen the riches of his nations and deprived more than one generation of opportunity. He has raped his country and his claims regarding homosexuality are the despicable and crazed soundbites of a demented crackpot dictator who the international community should deal with swiftly and with surgical precision.

          1. Are people disagreeing with the above comments because they are by a Reverend. Take a chance to read them – they are profound – and support LGBT rights!

    3. Jock S. Trap 27 May 2012, 10:56am

Question: Why do all people who aren’t religious have to put up with people like you who constantly feel the need to try and force us to live by Your chosen religious beliefs?

It doesn’t make you right by any means just stupid.

      1. Jock

At what point has he tried to force you to believe anything?

Is he not speaking out in support of LGBT people?

Why is it that some of us lack the sophistication to see that some religious people are our allies? – I suspect Rev Wood is either gay himself or very supportive of gay people.

So why the need to attack him and call him stupid – I certainly do not think his support of LGBT people is stupid!

  14. It’s sometimes fun to spot how many fallacious arguments you can get into one Mugabe soundbite.
I got as far as the following:
Fallacy of composition – assuming that something true of part of a whole must also be true of the whole
(in this case that if part of the population is gay, the whole population turns gay.)
    Shifting the Burden of proof.
‘No true scotsman’ fallacy -homosexuality does not belong in Zimbabwe.
Slippery slope – asserting that a relatively small first step inevitably leads to a chain of related events culminating in some significant impact.
Hasty generalization – basing a broad conclusion on a small sample.
Argument from scripture – claiming that because there is some truth in a piece of text (such as a factual city or factual historical figure), that everything mentioned in the text must, by default, be “historical fact”.
    Then I lost count…

  15. What will lead to human extinction in Zimbabwe if things do not change soon – is Mugabes horrendous and criminal leadership.

This fantastic article explains the chaos that Zimbabwe is facing eloquently:

“Zimbabwe, piloted by Robert Mugabe, has travelled back in time. Once one of the most prosperous countries in Africa and a magnet for economic migrants from all over the continent, it now faces a cholera epidemic, the staggering devaluation of its currency, political oppression and violence. … Mugabe has been politically ruthless for decades. He has systematically eliminated his opponents and masterminded campaigns of intimidation, leaving him king of the castle and the only ruler since independence. The oppression of his people began many years ago, and the disastrous land reform over the last decade has taken food from everyones mouths”

  16. The rumour in Africa has it that Mugabe is gay himself. This would go a long way to explain why he insists on spewing such hatred – he’s a self loathing closet case.

    1. Rumour has it he is suffering from tertiary syphilis which includes the symptoms:

      Poor Concentration

      1. I think if he had tertiary syphilis the nasty festering sores that burrow all the way down to the bone would be a bit of a giveaway. I’ve seen that up close in a Victorian medical museum.
I would imagine dementia or senility would account for the rest.

        1. Festering sores are not always apparent in tertiary syphilis. In any event tertiary syphilis can develop many years after the initial syphilis infection. Some manifestations of the disease can occur up to 50 years later.

Syphilitic gummas are found in most but not all cases of tertiary syphilis, and can occur either singly or in groups. Gummatous lesions are usually associated with long-term syphilitic infection; however, such lesions can also be a symptom of benign late syphilis.
Advanced medical practice (which Mugabe will be able to pay for – unfortunately ordinary Zimbabweans generally can not) can be effectively treated.

So if Mugabe has tertiary syphilis it could have been detected and treated prior to formation of gumma and may be a relatively recent discovery.

The rumours of course, may be mere rumours – he may have no illness causing dementia or an illness of different cause.

        2. There are medications that can keep some of the symptoms at bay, and its not like we don’t give Zimbabwe enough aid that Mugabe couldn’t afford to have his treatments paid for

  17. There’s no point in engaging with Mugabe now. He’s completely deranged. Hilary Clinton implied as much in her autobiography.

The only solution now to save Zimbabwe’s gay countrymen would be to forcefully remove him from power – by whatever means necessary.

From what I understand, the UK Secret Service tried in the mid-nineties, but blew up the wrong car by mistake! Now, I’m no advocate of violence, but Mugabe’s stranglehold on Zimbabwe must end.

    1. Wasnt Sir Richard Branson involved in sponsoring an enterprise with other moguls with the aim of overthrowing Mugabe?

  18. Extinction??? Go on! Mugabe … give us a demonstration – and disappear!!!!

  19. “Governments” like Mugabe’s would lead us all back to the stone age.

When he is on is death bed will he reflect on how he has somehow managed to ruin a country?

  20. Probably a repressed homosexual. One, wonders how much foreign aid from Britain goes into that country and is siphoned off for personal use.

    1. He must be if he thinks that everyone will give up the opposite sex given the chance. It must be his fantasy.

    2. Keith Farrell 26 May 2012, 3:33pm

Lots of money is hidden in his swiss etc bank accounts

    3. Probably most of it. Look at Oxfam’s head office in Oxford… it is astonishing how they spent £millions of donated money to build that without being criticised for not spending it where it was needed or intended. Still Mugabe’s house has cost more than Oxfam’s head office and seems to expand frequently.

  21. For someone who literally looks like a silverback gorilla, he has the nerve to describe gays as being worse than pigs and dogs! Sorry no offense to gorillas!

  22. Being as thick and idiotic as Mugabe or listening to a word he says is more likely to lead to extinction.

  23. Will it also head to earthquakes and hurricanes as already quoted?

The gays seem to be responsible for everything that happens on the planet. I suppose the world financial crisis was caused by too many gay people kissing? Don’t forget to blame the gays for the water shortages in the UK.. and the excessive snowfall in Canada and Austrian Tirol too!

You really do need to see a Doctor, Mugabe. Why not talk to Doctor Sentamu?

  24. I sincerely hope it leads to his extinction and soon too.

  25. johnny33308 26 May 2012, 3:39am

How is it that if 10% of the entire population fails to reproduce that the human race faces extinction? Can’t any of these fools do simple math? Besides, LGBTIQ people have ALWAYS been here along with all the breeders and there are now 7 billion humans inhabiting Earth… how is it again Humanity will become extinct if LGBTIQ people are allowed equal marriage rights? Totally illogical based upon historic fact and REASON! Obviously Mugabe has no reasoning abilities….he’s destroyed his own country and people, after all…..

    1. SinnySinSins 26 May 2012, 10:02am

Please don’t refer to straight people as “breeders”, you wouldn’t like it if they called you a faggot.

      1. I agree with you SSS, and besides, large numbers of gay and lesbian people are breeding very happily these days too so it is inaccurate to confine this term to the hetero population, many of whom don’t breed anyway. I don’t mind being called a faggot though because here in England it means a a very tasty meatball in tomato sauce so isn’t an insult, more a culinary delight.

  26. I’m pretty sure there’s no shortage of hetero women or hetero men to keep Zimbabwe in supply of malnourished babies.

  27. He is close to death. As a prediction – he should be dead in a few months maybe even weeks. There are no human rights in Zimbabwe and there are hundreds of wells that are unuseable because Mugabe and his gang throw dead bodies down them.

  28. Coming from a man who elaborated his point via the use of Adam and Eve, you can tell he is insane and obviously uneducated. If this theory is valid, we are would be practically brother and sisters, and when we mate, it would be equivalent to incest. Wouldn’t that be a worser sin? This man is delusional. Somebody please pass this tyrant his medication, better yet, get him a brain transplant. An acorn can out-think him.

    1. His logic is easily floored… Even the biblical creation story gives Adam and Eve two sons… well which one got their mother pregnant to carry on humanity.

  29. Hands up to those who listens to what Mugabe has to say

    1. Nope

    2. Keith Farrell 26 May 2012, 3:21pm

nope, he is just a murderer with no intelligence, A bully, someone who reminds me of hittler and idiot Amin other people who did not deserved to be classified as human,

  30. It always amazes me how undeniably stupid some people can be.
They won’t listen to reason, they won’t listen to compassion, they only listen to hatred and violence.
In this way, the LGBT community is “behind”. We don’t bow down to this level, we don’t do violence or hatred of this kind. I’m sorry to say that some individuals in this world refuse to listen so words but only respond to actions.
Mugabe is therefore a lost cause.
I always had high hopes for humanity as a species, but now, I’m not so sure anymore.

  31. Nobody has made more Zimbabweans extinct than this crazed despot.

  32. Keith Farrell 26 May 2012, 3:17pm

Why do we even give this Animal any news space, he is nothing other than a baboon, guilty of murdering anyone who opposes him is mind went back in 1985, there is nothing left for him, he needs to die and allow that country that he has destroyed recover.

    1. Jock S. Trap 26 May 2012, 3:36pm

Because we need to know as most mainstream press won’t report such homophobic. It is down to places like PinkNews to report. That is, after all, their job!

    2. Baboons are actually surprisingly non-violent as primate species go. Less so than chimps and much less so than humans. It’s quite an insult to the humble baboon to compare it to Robert Mugabe.

  33. Jock S. Trap 26 May 2012, 3:34pm

That doesn’t even make sense. Someone so thick running a country… what is this the George W. Bush era repeated?

Think they’ll find in research is is their kind of greed, wealth, corruption and religion that kinds of humanity… but then it wouldn’t do for then to look at themselves now would it?

  34. Mugabe’s not all bad after all.

  35. Inspector General 26 May 2012, 4:39pm

Inspector remembers when it was Rhodesia. If you want fair government for all in an African state, let white men run it. The natives haven’t a clue…

    1. Was that when you were pushing apartheid in South Africa, Inspector?

    2. GingerlyColors 28 May 2012, 7:24pm

I don’t want to go down the road of Apartheid again but I often wonder if African countries would be better off if they had a white hand to guide them.
Apartheid was morally wrong and unjust but all these horrible pictures of starving children which galvanised Band Aid and Live Aid into action were not taken in South Africa where black people enjoyed the highest standard of living on the continent and people queued to get into South Africa in order to work and send money home to their families in poorer countries.

      1. ‘A white hand’ – like Putin’s, perhaps? Milosevich’s? Berlusconi’s?

You seem unaware that most of Africa (except Ethiopia) had ‘white hands’ guiding them while their present boundaries were drawn: that being at least part of the reason so many African nations are in their present disastrous condition.

    3. Inspector is somewhat backward in his knowledge of African history and could be guided towards, say, the hugely benevolent approach of the Germans towards the Herero – which Inspector may also consider ‘fair’, of course.

Inspector is now being searched for by the hospital from which he escaped.

  36. I wanted to say how i hate him and all those like him then thinking about it i realised i could never have enough hate in me for that many bigots.

  37. Nelly MANchester 26 May 2012, 7:31pm

This shows how STUPID this person is !!!

  38. Keith SIMPSON 26 May 2012, 7:59pm

    An octogenarian AND a cretin.
    Difficult to believe.
You’d think that someone as old as that would have a bit more sav’vy than that..wouldn’t you.

  39. If humans will go extinct any time soon, it’ll be attributable to overpopulation, not homosexuality.

  40. It was sickening to see Ms Pillay from the UNHRC entertaining this despot. The UNHRC is a bad joke with no punch line.

  41. GingerlyColors 28 May 2012, 7:18pm

Maybe a reduction in population would be a good thing. This will mean that there willbe more food to go round to feed starving people in African countries like Zimbabwe where Robert Mugabe’s land reform policies have resulted in food shortages.

  42. Gay activist Paul Mitchell 31 May 2012, 2:00am

He is just a piece of dog poo!

    He should be extinct himself!

The world would then be a wonderful place then!

  43. Gay activist Paul Mitchell 31 May 2012, 2:07am

Are the US Navy Seals looking for something to do one year after Osama Bin Laden?

So those sexy US Navy Seals need to kill this horrible man and that should be the only time murder should be legal!

    He is my challenge:

The first successful individual US Navy Seal who kills Robert Mugabe gets to have a date, sex and sleep with me (on the condition that if he is gay as well)!
