Other cities should follow this example.

34 years on! A great tribute to a man who made great strides for gay rights. It’s an inspiration for us to see what he accomplished in “Milk” and what has been accomplished in his memory.

What would he have accomplished had he lived? we will never know! But we are fortunate that his legacy lives on through his nephew Stuart Milk (PN 1 June 2011)
who honor his uncle with his tireless work and vision of equality in the LGBT communities.

Harvey Milk is to gays what Martin Luther King is to blacks.

San Diego is said to be the best city to live in in the USA and it seems to have got even better! Hillcrest is the gay area of San Diego and having been in contact with one of the residents recently I fancy paying that city a visit. I have Google the bars and pubs there and I was pleased to find that I can still enjoy a pint of Strongbow in San Diego should I get homesick.

I heartily recommend a visit, it is a beautiful city! One of the best memories I have is the drives made from a friends home in Santa Barbara to San Diego along the Pacific Coast Highway. Every aspect of it was beautiful from the scenery, landmarks, and the “surfers on the beaches”

The good news it’s gay friendly! :) The bad news… get used to drinking your Strongbow ice cold! When you get home you can tell every one that it filled you with “Glee” when you saw the former Blaine St… now “Milk St”

Mind you, I wonder what David Blaine thinks of this!
