  1. Religious groups have condemned the inclusion of homosexual couples in the guidelines.

    How unusual.

I understand. But isn’t our population big enough as it is?

  3. Keiths gonna love this one….

  4. Firstly, this is a recommendation, and will not be automatically adopted.

Secondly, this will only apply to lesbian couples if they have already tried and failed to conceive privately, indicating that there is a fertility problem. Women in relationships with other women will not be eligible for NHS funding for routine insemination.

Moreover, many health authorities already provide IVF for lesbians with reduced fertility, and these recommendations will not compel the rest to change their policy – although it will put pressure on them to do so.

    Great news :o)))

  6. I don’t agree with the NHS providing IVF full stop. But if they’re going to do it they should do it equally.

  7. The NHS shouldn’t be giving anyone IVF.

Being a parent is amazing & if couples (regardless of gender) wish to experience it, they should have the opportunity to try. I thoroughly enjoyed telling people I was pregnant, some jaws very nearly hit the floor!

  9. Waste of public money in both cases (older women and gays).

There are thousands of unwanted/orphaned kids out there crying for a loving home.

Can’t believe that they didn’t have this already.

Is this available now and is it across every PCT in UK?
