One half of the double-act which won Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday night says her co-star harbours an attraction for a male cocker spaniel.

Having won half a million pounds and the opportunity to perform their dance act at the Royal Variety Performance, Asheligh Butler confirmed the predilection of her pet dog, Pudsey.

The 17-year-old told the Daily Star, which splashed on details of the pet’s ‘gay lover’: “It’s true. One of my friends has a cocker spaniel called Sam.

“Whenever Pudsey sees Sam, he is in love. He has a thing for him.

“Don’t ask me why. Maybe it’s the ears! Pudsey is a complete flirt.”

Pudsey, 6, who is part border collie, part bichon frisé and part Chinese crested powder puff, won 39 percent of the public vote at the weekend alongside his teenage owner.

The performing dog has already had six puppies with a border collie.
