Given how she probably believes the bible is literal truth, I would hazard a guess that her thinking is about as evolved and logical as a human from a few thousand years back… So in that sense, she wouldn’t understand your point about a new change in thinking lol. :)

    2. The key word here is “thinking”. Something she stops doing as soon as she has invented the reason for her bigotry.

    3. Yes, “thousands of years of thinking about marriage”, until quite recently, would have handed poor little Bristol, an unwed mother, a very different life from the one she enjoys today. The demi-celebrity that has created the platform for her airhead utterances would have been, instead, full-blown notoriety. Her sexual misstep would have quashed that glorious career of dancing missteps on American TV. What a hypocrite. She makes her mother look brilliant.

This poor young woman struggled through life with a caricature as a mother. It’s a wonder she can string a sentence together with that as a ‘role model’.

  5. What an ignorant woman. How can she lecture others on how a child does better with “both parents” – she should know better than most that many people find themselves single parents through no fault of their own. In that case isn’t it better for a child to grow up with both parents who may or may not be the same sex? I’m straight but cannot see the argument where a single mother is better than two same sex parents – she should keep her opinions to herself on a subject she obviously knows nothing about

Polygamy, concubinage, forced marriage of slaves and enemy women – we’ve just imagined all of it. This idiot is following her mother’s example with a vengeance. Just as well she said that kids brought up by straight couples ‘generally’ do better…
though of course ‘than whom’ is less and less clear among these folk.

    Post a reply →
  24. What an arrogant young women, giving her circumstances, to assume she that she is suitable or qualified to give the Obama’s parenting advice.

There is actually no social science research that shows children do better raised by a mother and father. There is research that supports two parent families and that makes sense as the parenting workload is shared. However a child having either two parents – married or not married does not guarantee a positive outcome. It depends on an ability to parent. A single parent can do better than two parents if the quality of parenting is inadequate. Many children do just as well being raised in single parent homes, or being raised by other family members.

There are hundreds of thousands of dysfunctional heterosexual marriages, some produce children, some don’t. Marriage does NOT guarantee a stable environment for all children, as ideal as it is. There are hundreds of thousands of gay couples doing a fantastic job raising children who are prohibited from marriage and often do a lot better in school than a lot of children in heterosexual families. All of this procreation nonsense is a red-herring. I don’t know of any law in western civilisation which states that marriage is primarily for procreation or that it should be.

She’s clearly not the brightest biscuit in the cookie jar but its deeply disturbing to me to see so many commentators pass comment on her gender in some really unsettling ways.

I’ve noticed that many are using the words ‘silly girl’ and ‘bitch’…

There has been a lot of commentary of late concerning the deeply misogynistic treatment of any women who pass unwelcome comment online and in the media.

This is directly parallel to the way that many Pink News commentators tend to deal with articles concerning homophobic behaviour when it comes from black men or Muslims….

Its time to learn to oppose bigotry without feeling at liberty to open up the floodgates of your own existing prejudices, people…!

    Post a reply →
  59. Its the rubbish parenting of her own parents and their views thats made her a brain dead moron who has a kid at 18 then starts promoting how bad it is to have a child so young. She obviously doesent care how that would make her child feel and she probably doesent really know who the father is anyway. Expect her on an upcoming episode of Maury.

What she doesent grasp is children are at times the only ones to see how things really are. Their innocence allows them to see things for what they are with no prejudice. We as adults have a lifetime of experiences and a wealth of knowledge and information we base our beliefs and thoughts on, however they are subject to the views and prejudices we have built and of those we have contact with.

In this case Obama listened to his children and saw to them they dont see a man or a woman simply parents. Simply a loving family. Just the way we arent meant to see race or skin colour anymore, just the person. These characteristics dont define us.
