Jean, the same argument you espouse was advanced in the 1900s when very brave campaigners sought to redefine the franchise of this nation and extend the vote to women, and again in the 1950s in the USA when civil rights campaigners struggled to redefine human rights for black Americans to allow them to attend the same schools as whites. Discrimination is very ugly – please reconsider your prejudice and come round to supporting equality – it will make you a better person.

Why, don’t you know it was heterosexuals who ‘redefined’ marriage in the UK in the 19th century when the government introduced CIVIL marriage that allowed serial hetero adulterers to marry and divorce many times over?
