  1. don’t use the word tranny, it’s insulting to many Gender Variant People.
the problem is also a grave under-reporting of russian issues of this kind, even in russia. many of these people are living in hiding, and 90% commit suicides, there was a report by Russian LGBT Network regarding this.

    1. Most people call them a Tranny! Don’t get over politically correct!

      1. Lumi Bast 4 May 2012, 9:48pm

I’m what people consider “transphobic” and even I don’t call transgender people a tranny

It’s a negative slur, anybody with a brain wouldn’t use that word

        1. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 10:21pm

Your yellow streak is showing Lumi. We all read what you had to sya about trans on another thread and it was not the attitude you pretend now > Grow up creep.

        2. Creep? That makes zero sense. While I still disagree with transgenderism, I would never call a transperson a tranny. I also am using “she” to refer to the person in the article because saying “he” would cause unnecessary drama. Just because I disagree with transgenderism doesn’t mean I can’t extend human decency to another human.

      2. Lumi Bast 4 May 2012, 9:49pm

It’s not political correctness either, it’s human decency

  2. i got a statement from her personal facebook profile, with her permission…

“To put this in most unambigous way possible: that’s not about the denial of some human rights, that’s even worse – the denial of _all_ rights possible, _any_ conforming legal identity. Legally I don’t exist! There is no way to prove that these documents & this current identity belong to me. The country, as some say, where conditions “aren’t so horrible”, but country denying officially my _basic_ civil rights in all possible instances (I have all documented proofs and I presented this to migrationsverket since the beginning!), taking into account extreme under-reporting of issues and the absence of working laws… Russia left me in legal vacuum and technically I’m plainly stateless person. And sweden does the same to me, by turning a blind eye to issues _officially_ recognized by EU, the issues that should be taken upon consideration _with_all_subsequent_nuances_…”

    1. …while assessing the level of risk needed for international protection. This is worse than destiny of iraqian or somalian refugees, officially there is no “death sentence” by authorities, but this “sentence” will come by all subsequent _circumstances_.
The official persecution had happened before, the authorities say this won’t happen again? how would they prove it, taking into account all nuances of absence of legal identity? And is it really “generous” of Sweden to ignore everything in first place and reviewing already messed decision, but not the case completely, depriving me of any possibility to prove the point? Again, this is just the same Russia did to me – there I was deprived of any possibility and the possibility of getting extensive proofs, here’s the same, except the fact nobody is after me (at least until tuesday, if everything fails).”

unfortunately i’m too far from sweden, and as many others just crossing the fingers and wishing her the best outcome.

      1. theotherone 4 May 2012, 6:43pm

that’s all we can do just now

      2. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 7:16pm

….Can you possibly type this comment legibly..whats with all the underscores?
As it stands it is just gibberish.
If this is the way the case is presented to the authorities , it’s no wonder there are problems.

        1. theotherone 4 May 2012, 7:18pm

you’ve got so much hate in you paddy that you would watch someone die.

how can you sleep at night?

        2. stillborn 4 May 2012, 7:26pm

Re-read the current EU asylum policies and then comment. Now, as I said, off, you bloody troll.

          1. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 8:39pm

…Yet you still refuse to explain why the Swedes are throwing this person to “the wolves”. Because you don’t have a credible explanation!! period!

          2. theotherone 4 May 2012, 8:42pm

you haven’t read when people HAVE offered reasons because you don’t want to hear.

evil little pr1ck5 like you maned the gas chambers.

          3. stillborn 4 May 2012, 8:47pm

I don’t have the access to her documents, I’m just another concerned person. Talk to Jane perhaps. But I’m familiar with the laws, I’m asking again – did you read, quote, “European Parliament legislative resolution of 27 October 2011 on the proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on minimum standards for the qualification and status of third country nationals or stateless persons as beneficiaries of international protection and the content of the protection granted (recast) (COM(2009)0551 – C7-0250/2009 – 2009/0164(COD))” ?

          4. theotherone 4 May 2012, 8:52pm

paddy does not read, it gets in the way of his hate.

          5. stillborn 4 May 2012, 8:59pm

If we’re talking about asylum, “paddy”, and you need clear explanation, there IS a clear directive saying “gender identity shall be taken upon consideration”, as well as the issues following this matter. This directive is for all EU countries. The problems explained in both articles are covered by this directive, i.e. lack of identity. If Sweden refuses to follow these directions, then international law is violated. This is not rocket science.

          6. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 9:29pm

….Yes and I think it is not nearly strong enough. We here in the EU have enough crazies and pretend asylum seekers sponging of European states. This Swedish case is just the thin edge of the wedge. Should this person be allowed into the EU , Swedens National Health system would be burdened with the horrendous costs of maintenance of the various drugs and treatments this man would require to keep up the pretence of being a “woman”. That is, if in fact, once accepted into Sweden, he then comes to the UK to sponge off the Taxpayers there. One can see Swedens reticence in this matter, accept one sponger and you set a precedence and you end up with a deluge of this kind of sponger. Let Russia look after them, they are Russian after all.

          7. theotherone 4 May 2012, 9:35pm

or let russia kill them but then why would you care paddy? why would you give a flying f about another human being?

you’re sick paddy, incredibly, dangerously sick.

          8. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 9:40pm

…”or let russia kill them” One presumes Russia provided the initial medical services need by this person. How come they didn’t kill him then? Economic migrant and nothing more. send him back to his own country.

          9. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 9:43pm

…that’s rich from a spit and run troll who nobody ever heard of til a couple of hours ago like a lot of the spit and run trolls on this thread.

          10. load_save_delete 4 May 2012, 9:53pm

oh my god. what a faggot…

          11. Wow Paddyswurds – I’m sorry you’re so hateful towards migrants

        3. theotherone 4 May 2012, 9:43pm

          actually no the didn’t.

if i remember correctly they went abroad and paid for it themselves.

          1. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 9:44pm

..Yea right… where and why didn’t he stay there…..??

          2. theotherone 4 May 2012, 9:48pm

because they’re Russian and wished to live in Russia perhaps?

Wouldn’t you want to stay in the country you where born and raised in if you could?

          3. load_save_delete 4 May 2012, 9:57pm

paddyswurds – if you call a woman in male pronouncation, then everyone with the common sense can call you faggot, you deserve this, you fag

          4. @ load_save_delete

Fighting hate with hate doesn’t work >_<

          5. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 10:40pm

…so why does this one want to sponge off the EU….?

          6. theotherone 4 May 2012, 10:48pm

they’re not sponging paddy, they want to be safe and work.

  3. theotherone 4 May 2012, 6:34pm

    here we go with paddy.

a woman is facing death and you make cheap comments. How big of you.

yes they have, i have been involved in this woman’s case for a few months now and i can assure you that she’s not an axe murderer.

you haven’t heard what’s happening in Russia? You must have your ears tight shut then.

    1. stillborn 4 May 2012, 7:17pm

Just piss off, bloody troll. Your opinion isn’t needed here.

      1. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 7:38pm

I can’t remember asking a hit and run troll anything about what articles one is allowed to comment on, on the Interweb…..

    2. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 7:19pm

This is just not how Sweden operates unless there is something you are not telling us. The whole thing is very suspicious. BTW: nobody has mentioned axe murderers except you, so that gives us the impression there may be mitigating circumstances for Swedens reluctance to grant residency to this person.

    3. Partly because travel is difficult.

And not all those who leave survive.

I have just two reactions. The first is just gob smacked. Because I cannot understand your need to be so hateful in a case you know nothing of.

Second, I took my time writing the first report on this case. That time was spent getting the court papers translated…talking to local activists, talking to Swedish.government officials to make sure everything reported is correct.

Quibble on detail if u wish, but the story itself is well checked for accuracy.

      1. stillborn 4 May 2012, 7:31pm

Jane, you did a great job, please don’t waste your time on obvious trolls. They are like no more than puppies who took a dump in the hall and are proud of it.

      2. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 7:43pm

OK then, why exactly is an ultra liberal country throwing this person to the wolves?
You all seem to be skirting around something and it is time you spilled the beans if this story is to receive any sympathy….
slagging me off is just wasting your time as I am completely immune to this sort of abuse especially from disingenious trolls with something to hide……….

      3. theotherone 4 May 2012, 7:48pm

sweden liberal? it was imposing sterilisation on it’s citizens for god’s sake!

there is a threat of massive numbers of queer asylum seekers coming into europe from russia and perhaps it is simply that sweden wants to stop them settling there.

      4. stillborn 4 May 2012, 7:56pm

Or, as I said, Sweden refuses to adapt new EU laws protecting these people. The main problem, as I got it, is the laws were fully implemented on EU level just after L. filed an asylum application and both the board and the courts weren’t kept up with new policies.

      5. stillborn 4 May 2012, 8:23pm

And this “slag” is expectable response to bigotry and absence of any common sense. You, “paddyswurds”, just exposed the roots of your transphoby. This view has exactly the same root as e.g. antisemitism, “some Jewish people you met were liars therefore all Jews are liars” (maybe it’s not the best example, but… let it be).
I think if there could be any doubts in her story, Jane hardly could publish this.

      6. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 8:34pm

…..”Sweden liberal”…..Those two words just nail you for what you are and your obvious racist xenophobic ignorance.

      7. theotherone 4 May 2012, 8:36pm

        oh go away paddy

You evil, evil, bitter, twisted man.

      8. stillborn 4 May 2012, 8:41pm

Oh, he’s a gay man then? Explainable, since there IS a transphobic minority of gay people, slandering one of the most unprotected group of people in the world.

  4. Oh Paddy, why do you always have to be so nasty on trans stories? We all know you’re transphobic, but could you get the word ‘trannie’ in any more times to that comment. If you don’t understand trans issues (which I don’t either tbh), just don’t leave a comment that causes upset, and allow those who the story relates to a little bit of respect and dignity. You sound like keith, aiden etc. tbh when you go off on one. It’s not nice, its not human, it doesn’t reflect well on you and makes it impossible for me to read any of your other comments. It reveals you’re full of bigotry and have big issues towards another minority that this website is designed for. There is nothing to be gained from your transphobia other than hurt and upset. Life’s hard enough.

    1. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 7:34pm

I have issues with trans because of their blatant homophobia, and believe me it is there whether you have experienced it or not but if you have traveled as much as I have and met as many as I have you would probably agree April Ashly being the first, they were almost all extremely bitter against gay men , who they said were way too smug and self satisfied.
Some of them claim to be gay even after transition and i think that is the nub of the matter. They discovered they were gay and were horrified and so construed that into gender identity.
However to be blaming Sweden of all places for transphobia as in this case is beyond reason. The real story is not being told in this case so until it is there will always be grave doubts.
In regard to the word trannie, Trans people themselves say trannie just as we say queer so what is good for the goose should be good for the gander.

      1. theotherone 4 May 2012, 7:39pm

you really are an evil little bigot paddy.

i ask again: how can you sleep at night?

        1. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 8:28pm

That is rich coming as it does from the Internets most evil spit and run troll. strange that we haven’t seen you comment on the myriad important to GLBs articles posted by PN this last two weeks, perhaps fortunately, given your racism and homophobia….Are you “jean” by any chance or one of the other trolls polluting the Gay relative threads Like i said Super homophobic….

        2. theotherone 4 May 2012, 8:31pm

jesushchrist paddy! ask jane if i’m a homophobe and racist – i put her in touch with this woman.

I’ve been on this site enough dear friend, you’ve just been to busy being an evil little bigot.

i ask again: how do you sleep at night?

        3. theotherone 4 May 2012, 8:32pm

you can’r offer anything here but hate and personal attacks.

how do you sleep. really paddy how can you?

        4. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 9:13pm

….Wtf is jesushchrist by the way… Another revelation about you. So you are also an xtian homophobic bigot. How do you stand on paedophilia of the Roman sort?. Support that too do you, you bitter twisted little man…? Now away and down some more hormone pills…

  5. Lumi Bast 4 May 2012, 8:57pm

While I’m what many people call a “transphobe” I hope that she’s allowed to stay in Sweden. I would never advocate sending a transperson back to a country with such a horrible environment.

    1. theotherone 4 May 2012, 9:00pm

we’ve had our disagreements in the past but thank you for your kind words lumi bast.

      1. Lumi Bast 4 May 2012, 9:03pm

        You’re welcome :) I can be nice sometimes ;)

        1. theotherone 4 May 2012, 9:05pm

          1. Lumi Bast 4 May 2012, 9:10pm

Nobody is nice all the time pffff

          2. theotherone 4 May 2012, 9:31pm

no but now and then is nice – it shows we’re human.

          3. Lumi Bast 4 May 2012, 9:46pm

Yes being nice is good, and I’m human believe it or not and despite what some people say.

I actually do have a heart deep down :D

        2. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 11:54pm

@……don’t you think that at nearly 4 million unemployed we have enough people chasing jobs, without the Russians sponging off us as well. Or perhaops we should just throw the doors wide open and let them all in ….Yea right. What are you ,9yo?

          1. theotherone 5 May 2012, 10:38pm

i’ll tell you what paddy: i can get you a job gutting fish for monday. Want to get off your fat @rse and take it? thought not.

so yea those unemployed are not beating down the doors of factories who need cleaners, they’re not out in the fields picking fruit and veg. Christ knows why – there’s allot of jobs doing it.

migrant workers (you made no distinction as to country of origin) do jobs even the desperate won’t do.

    2. You can be nice – provided it’s not in your neighbourhood

  6. She should not have been in the country illegally. Tranny or not!

    1. sorry, i should have said transexual/transvestite. I apologise. But you still can’t come into a country illegally. It is wrong!

      1. stillborn 4 May 2012, 9:22pm

Past articles say she legally arrived to Sweden.

        1. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 9:34pm

…but overstayed the tourist visa this person sneaked in under. This sponger came to Sweden for one reason only. To avail of the excellent Health Services available in the EU. Next stop would have been Britain like all the other migrant spongers.

          1. stillborn 4 May 2012, 9:48pm

Are you retarded? There were no visa violations.
You’re just provoking to say the “F” word in your pathetic face.

          2. theotherone 4 May 2012, 9:50pm

what visa violations? there are none you hateful little ar$3

      2. theotherone 4 May 2012, 9:30pm

        she arrived their legally.

        1. Paddyswurds:
Look, idiot, as someone said earlier, people who sh1tting bricks about immigrants, and shouting about leechers are usually the biggest leechers themselves. You’re acting like a leecher on social welfare who hasn’t had a job for many years and you are just JEALOUS that many people try to make their way to another countries (with almost the SAME culture!) and establish themselves, while you, leecher, are sitting on your a$$ and producing nothing except bigoted and hateful comments.

        2. Paddyswurds 5 May 2012, 12:11am

…Wrong… are right about me not having a “job” in years but that was because I had my own business right up until I retired early at 50 when i sold my business, quite well i have to say, thanks very much…. Don’t ya just love these internet business’. Very lucrative if you know what you are doing.

        3. Unimpressed. 50+yr old behaving like an angry teenager. Everyone can say this online.

        4. Paddyswurds 5 May 2012, 8:01pm

No he certainly did not as, in fact, he arrived under false pretenses, hence invalidating his temporary visa. He came to the west as an economic migrant in the hope of sponging off the Health services of the west. The whole debacle over his papers is a ruse. He destroyed them so it would delay his deportation.

    2. stillborn 4 May 2012, 9:21pm

As article says, until Tuesday she’s legally there, but from the other side – yes, it’s not about just transgender issues, it’s not about just protection issues… It’s a complex problem.
It seems there’s nothing left except hope.

    3. Lumi Bast 4 May 2012, 9:47pm

She arrived there legally. You should do research.

  7. As a swede, I find this embarrassing. I love my country, but everyone knows that Migrationsverket (the place that handles migration, emigration and immigration) is retarded.
I have one question though; Was it really that hard to turn the flag the right way?

  8. Lumi Bast 4 May 2012, 9:31pm

Tranny is a negative slur, grow a brain

    1. Lumi Bast 4 May 2012, 9:44pm

Ni**er is from negro. Homo is short for homosexual. Jap is short for Japanese. Paki is short for Pakistani. They’re still slurs

Transsexual, transgender, transperson, transwoman/transman are the appropriate words
Transvestite means cross-dresser, cross dressing and gender identity are two different things

      1. I dress in men’s clothes a lot, that doesn’t mean I’m trying to be a man, it just means I like the clothes. They’re two separate things whether you like it or not. A man who is a cross-dresser is still a man. A man who is transgender is living as a woman. You already know my views on trangenderism by the way.

      2. transgenderism*

    2. load_save_delete 4 May 2012, 9:59pm

      shut up fag

      1. I’m a woman, so I can’t be a fag

        Nice try

      2. Thought you replied to me, my mistake :P

      3. load_save_delete 4 May 2012, 10:12pm

        sorry Lumi Bast :)

      4. It’s okay, it’s a little hard to tell sometimes with the way comments are on here I’ve been called a fag before because people didn’t know my gender

    3. load_save_delete 4 May 2012, 10:05pm

it’s for paddiswurds. if you call woman a man, then everyone with common sense has the right to call you pathetic hateful faggot

      1. No, it doesn’t give anyone the right to call him a faggot

Ever heard the phrase you can’t fight fire with fire?

  9. Please don’t calls trans people “trannies”. It’s the equivalent of calling gay men “sodomites”.

    1. Lumi Bast 4 May 2012, 9:52pm

No, I think “homo” would be more appropriate in this comparison

    2. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 10:32pm

      @Spit and run troll Riley…
…. A sodomite is anyone who practices sodomy gay or breeder , idiot.

      1. you definitely need to be cured from homosexualism, come to russia, we’ll cure your disease :D

    3. Either Paddyswurds is really an idiot or someone’s pretending to be him

I think he’s really an idiot though

      1. This is not the first time he has trolled the trans people on PN.

He’s a coward behind his keyboard, I doubt he’d ever have the nerve to say such sh¡t to anyone’s face

  10. theotherone 4 May 2012, 10:19pm

hey paddy: i and my partner run a company employing mainly polish migrant workers and…

your hateful comments about migrant workers are disgusting.

these people had the gumption to move to another country to improve their conditions unlike you who sits stewing in your own bile.

    1. Ah… common sense doesn’t work with these types. The biggest homophobes are closeted gay people, so maybe this “paddi” is actually an MtF transsexual in denial? ;)

      1. theotherone 4 May 2012, 10:33pm

bitter because they never had the guts?

i think they just had a transwoman knock them back for sex myself

      2. That’s not necessarily true

Like I’ve said, many people would call me a “transphobe” but I’m in no way transsexual/transgender. I know I’m a woman, I like being a woman, and I accept it.

        1. From the point of view of gender variant person, this is happiness to NOT have any gender issues. The point is that for many people transition is not a choice… or if it is a choice, it’s choice between life and death. If people actually fight for their rights for many years… then it probably worths it?

          1. It is a choice to go through with the transition, but I realize that it’s not a choice to feel like you have the wrong body. I personally think that some sort of medical/mental treatment to fix the brain of the person so they didn’t have to go through the change would be better if it was possible. I believe transgenderism is wrong, but I still believe that transgender people should be free from torture/violence/people yelling slurs/etc. as no human should go through that (besides murders, pedophiles, etc. I don’t care about them).

About Paddyswurds, he definitely could be a closeted transgender person, but we can never really know. I hold *some* of the same views and I’m happy with my gender, so it’s hard to tell.

          2. theotherone 4 May 2012, 11:20pm

think of my case lumi: I live with my lesbian partner. I do not like or get on with or even understand heterosexual men. I don’t find heterosexual women particularly attractive, i like the lesbian aesthetic.

if i was ‘fixed’ i would have been unable to ever find a partner, unable to ever find happiness.

I’ve been with my partner for over six years now.

          3. -Well some heterosexual men are cool, I tend to get along with the non-homophobic/sexist/racist/religious ones pretty well. There’s no need to be sexist.
-I find heterosexual women just as attractive as bisexual or lesbian women, as I’m not into masculine women. Plus, there’s different types of women of all orientations, I’m sure you could find lesbian-ish women that are into men.
-If you have a male body/penis your partner isn’t lesbian, she’s bisexual or pansexual.
-I’m sure you would have been able to find happiness. You just don’t know any different.

          4. i’m pro-choice and actually pro-screening. honestly, too bad transsexualism cannot be screened properly yet… if parents decide for screened TS to be born, they should take care for them, as for people born with e.g. cerebral palsy. not throw away or abuse.

          5. theotherone 4 May 2012, 11:47pm

no i don’t have a penis and some friends are men but most are gender variant to some degree.

i knew plenty much about what i was after – i looked ofr a long time, tried every possible variation i could find and still it wouldn’t fit. a lesbian identity was the only one that did.

you spoke of people not having surgery: i tried that and tried to live without surgery but how can you be a lesbian with a penis? I’m sure some folks can (I know some myself) but i couldn’t do it.

anyway this isn’t a discussion for this thread.

          6. Well if you’re genetically not a woman then your partner can’t be a lesbian

Oh, and honestly, if you cut off your genitals, you’re mentally ill. Sorry.

          7. ehm. surgeries in this case aren’t simple “cutting off” or something like that… basically it’s reconstruction, just like fixing the shattered bone. transition for those who desperately needs it, unfortunately, is the best the medicine could offer and afford nowadays. the best way could be screening of TS and if it comes to aborting – only parents should choose, to give the life to TS baby or not. good point?

      3. theotherone 4 May 2012, 11:03pm

you see paddy this comment just does not make sense:

‘I have no hate for people i dont know or for that matter Migrants. i just think we have enough spongers in the EU thanks.’

you’ve got no problem with immigrants but then you do. can you explain that to me?

        1. It reminds me of the “I’m not homophobic but” line

      4. Not all transwomen cut off their penis, quite a lot keep it. I’m not going to get into an argument about transgenderism even though I agree with you, I’ve figured out it’s best to try to not pick a fight on here anymore (for the most part) as it’s not going to go anywhere.

Using the word spongers shows that you are in fact hateful. Some people just want to make a better life for themselves and do it legally, you shouldn’t hate that.

        1. theotherone 4 May 2012, 11:22pm

          ‘you shouldn’t hate that’

no, we should celebrate people who do this :-)

        2. Exactly. As long as they’re doing it legally, it’s awesome!

      5. You’re just an insecure leeching Faggot on welfare and nothing else :D Come to Russia, they will teach you how to like champagne bottle up your ass :D

    2. I don’t see the issue with migrants/immigrants/etc. If they come to a country legally, there should be no problem. I want to be a business owner someday and what I’m looking for is who gets the job done, not if they’re American or not. I can’t stand xenophobia.

    3. Paddyswurds 5 May 2012, 12:00am

…Poles have the rights as members of the EU to work anywhere within the European Union and are quite welcome as is the quite large polish population we have here in Ireland…. Russians on the other hand are not, as they are not members of the EU. Quite telling that you did not know that. Funny that as you say you are a business woman.

  11. If you’re saying she should be deported, imagine if your friend or significant other was going to be deported to a country where it was unsafe for them, you would be extremely upset. I know if I had a bi/gay friend or significant other that was from a homophobic country, I’d want them to stay and do almost whatever it took to make sure they could, so I want to extend my best wishes to the woman in this story (I know she’s transgender, but both LGB and T people face discrimination) (plus the fact that nobody should have to face unsafeness)

  12. Paddyswurds 4 May 2012, 11:00pm

This has been the most fun I have had with my trousers on for a long time .Who knew there were so many spit and run trolls lurking in the Pink News bowels. They are sooo easy to wind up it is pathetic and i suppose i really shouldn’t goad them so but it Is such fun….lmfao.

    1. The only troll here now is you

    2. theotherone 4 May 2012, 11:23pm

one troll here paddy, only one.

    3. This proves the point. You know, this girl still got some support and some options. She has many friends both in Sweden and around the world. She’s brilliant artist. Everything will eventually turn up OK and she’ll get the possibility of normal life in _any_ country. Despite the current problems and these dirty vile accusations. What have you got, except this perverted “fun”? Do you have any friends? Ah… there’s no point in further discussion with you. People with common sense will see who’s right and who’s wrong there. Period. I’m out of here.

    4. What a thrilling life you must lead…

  13. This is very sad. To be turned under desperate times where there is simply nowhere else to go. With the recent gay rights fiasco in Russia, her state of wellbeing once she is deported back to Russia appear to be gloomy.

    1. theotherone 5 May 2012, 11:50am

‘You needn’t bother replying as this is my last post on the subject.’

      thank christ for that.

      1. Drone & Noise 5 May 2012, 12:24pm

I just reported his & some others comments. Hopefully this vile sh1t is going to be deleted soon.

    2. There is loads of overlap between LGB and T rights. However, with people like you around Paddy, I wouldn’t blame the T members if they distanced themselves from the LGBs and made a new alliance with the Is.

Even if you don’t think that transgenderism** exists can you not just show a little bit of respect as one human being to another.

**Is that even a word? Correct me if I’m wrong pls

  14. Strongfemme 5 May 2012, 2:18pm

This appalling treatment of transgender people seeking asylum demonstrates a real lack of awareness with regards to transgender issues? hence, a fair and effective asylum system would be a start?
Blessed are those who’s heart and soul are eager for expressing the TRUTH …

    1. Rectal disease 5 May 2012, 7:00pm

disregard what I just said, There is nothing wrong with being transgender.

    2. Are you sure that your rectal disease hasn’t spread to your brain – it’s called gender dysphoria, dysmorphia is something different and is applied to people who might think they have an ugly nose, or big ears for example.

  15. Amber Thompson 5 May 2012, 9:59pm

Deporting her, would be tanamount to murder, her blood will be on the Swedish governments hands.

  16. I used to be called Lita.

  17. “This is not what Sweden is about, one, if not the most socially aware and liberal countries in the world”

Sweden have a growing problem with xenophobia and racism. Far right groups are possibly more prevalent there than here.

  18. Denise Holliday 7 May 2012, 5:05pm

Is that all that can be done. This is a terrible situation. She made it to safety and they just push her off the fence.
I hope they never face such a situation. I pray the girl gets a better deal than she is expecting.

  19. According to her facebook, she’s safe now and continues fighting. Prayers for her.

  20. Sad that this article on a trans persons plight has once again attracted the worst possible comments from well known trolls. Sad that PinkNews allows such hatred to still have a forum.
Thankyou to those who have posted in a positive way.
