It’s no different for a gay couple than it is for a straight couple. I see nothing wrong in this case. It IS a serious issue. They both participated in paying for the sperm donations. It is a community asset.

Many people in this situation want to use the same donor so that their children are all full genetic siblings, which is understandable I think.
While I agree with this decision, the language makes me deeply uncomfortable – treating the ‘gametes’ (=sperm) as ‘property’ sounds like another step on the road to the commodification of children.

When are men going to stand up for themselves and say NO to being a sperm donor.
Women now just take us men for granted. Think we are nothing but a commodity for them.
That our sperm is on tap and can turn it on and off any time they want it.
This is what gay rights has done to us.
