India: Man arrested for allegedly murdering friend who ‘forced him into a gay relationship’
Police in New Delhi have arrested a 20-year-old man, identified only as Wasim, who is accused of murdering a friend who he claimed continually forced him into a homosexual relationship.
The police Police say that Wasim, a resident of the Hauz Qazi district of New Delhi was arrested following a tip off. He has been charged with murdering a colleague, identified as being called Danish. Both worked together for a local butcher.
The victim was found dead inside the butcher’s shop by the owner on Monday who informed the police.
“The shop owner Mohammed Shamim Qureshi also told us that the mobile phone which was being used by Danish was also missing,” a police official is quoted as saying. “During interrogation, Wasim revealed that Danish was forcing him to have homosexual relations with him.”
