  1. wow a reasonable republican! Nice to see they exist.

He’s a RINO!!! The substance in that message at all.
If your going to run, make a serious attempt!

  2. Sounds like a great guy!
Not to sure about the kiss at the end though.
    Little out of place imo.

  3. Interesting video. The kiss at the end is nice too.

  4. Seems like a decent guy. Hope he gets plenty of publicity.

Enjoyed the video with its eye candy. Maybe it missed an opportunity to explore some political issues, though. Might give the impression the candidate is more interested in form than substance.

Great to see a gay kiss in a Republican video. But didn’t Rick Santorum’s video get there first? ;-)

  5. Just one question… why is he a Republican?
Has he checked what sort of company he’s keeping?

I don’t much care for your comment. “What sort of company”, I don’t know, have you checked what sort of company your keeping or is it you just don’t read.

Jimmy Carter only came out against Prop 6 when found out that Regan had spoken first against it.

did you get that, a republican supported us, and democrat only later did because it he felt it was now safe to do so.

Bill Clinton Signed both DOMA and DATA into Law.

And marriage would be available to all today in the US since August 18, 2010 had your beloved Obama not sought to defend DOMA by appealing Judge Tauro decision.

The reason the Obama administration claims to no longer defend DOMA is political and not honorable. They do this knowing that BLAG will do the dirty work for them. Obama has the power to deny BLAG the standing to defend DOMA, simply put to make gay marriage legal in all 50 states since May 20, 2011, but what good is power if your not willing to use it.

That is the company that the likes of yourself keep.

This is just dumb beyond belief. He’s gay so ergo the video clip is just hot guys and girls on the beach playing, I find the whole thing boring, cliched and desperate. If he wanted to be taken seriously before then he’s really misjudged. He’ll be another six minute wonder in the vein of that idiot harpy b1tch from Alaska.

    1. At first I was like meh, and then I was like O.o wtf, now I’m like LOL.

  7. Who is he kidding. Just look at the baggage he’s carrying: Jewish, gay and he wants to be a Republican! In America! What a joke. Not wanting to draw upon national weak stereotypes, but he’s a Yank, he’s selling something – probably frisbees, certainly not integrity. Back to the beach bonzo!

Karger doesn’t stand a chance. He’s been shut out from that infamous republican CPAC convention a number of times. He’s going nowhere fast.

  10. That video was quite entertaining/amusing. On the one hand commendations for such an out. proud, and unapologetic video, but on the other it demonstrates from him an acknowledgement that he hasn’t a hope in hells chance of going beyond single percentage points if he is happy to trot out such a light and frothy campaign video that doesn’t even attempt to reach out to a wider America. In that regard it just feels like a vanity project, although even his existence in the race in such fractured times is welcome. It’s just a shame that he appears such a lightweight, and doesn’t provide any counter to many people’s perceptions that gay culture is pretty and vacuous.

  11. Has Karger actually won a single delegate? This is just self-promotion, possibly a job application.

  12. Was that a spoof video?

  13. YouTube took the video down. Disgusting! There was no nudity, but a gay kiss. Much less than what you see in many videos on YouTube.

  14. Does anyone know why YouTube took the video down?

    1. Probably because the bigots got co-ordinated and flagged it. It will be back once it has been reviewed, but it might be age rated. Keep in mind that the bigots got outed a couple of days ago for having a Facebook group where they talked tactics to do exactly this kind of thing – to flag whatever content they didn’t like, where ever they could.

In terms of Fred Karger himself. Funny guy. Is currently asking Maggie “NOM” Gallagher to produce her marriage licence, answer why she has never been seen with her husband, nor taken his name, nor wears a wedding ring and is challenging her to prove that her marriage is sincere and not a green card dodge.

Will he be President? He has as much chance as I do.

      1. GingerlyColors 25 Apr 2012, 9:43am

Still more chance of him becoming President than me becoming Pope!

      2. This is absolutely disgusting. More evidence of the homophobic double standards of YouTube. It’s highly discriminating because it sends out the message that a gay kiss is offensive and children ought to protected of it. I often wonder why nobody is calling them (YouTube) out on their BS as it happens in similar cases with Facebook?

        1. (typo) …children ought to be protected of it.

  15. GingerlyColors 25 Apr 2012, 9:42am

Not all Republicans are anti-gay. In a recent post on PN I mentioned the large US Jewish lobby which is linked to the Republican Party. While Jews have religious fundamentalists amongst them, they are far fewer and less vocal than the Christian fundies that blight the Republican Party. In the USA people still elect polititians on economic rather than religious grounds.
I wish Fred Karger well and I would love him to become America’s first gay President and improve the image of the Republican Party in the eyes of gay people in the same way that our Conservative Party now openly welcomes gays.
By the way, Pink News, the video is no longer available because it violates YouTubes terms.

  16. You can see the video here:
    http://vimeo.com/40990672
I don’t see why, if this was the original, it violated YouTube terms of service. I’ve seen plenty of homophobes condemning gay people, preachers threatening gay people with eternal damnation, plenty of heterosexual people kissing. If it’s the two guys at the end, this is just another example of homophobia. Well done, YouTube.

  17. The video has a Parental Advisory message at the front. If even he considers two men kissing as explicit content, he isn’t going to get very far..

    1. The Parental Advisory was placed there by YouTube

  18. “…I have the best jobs plan, I’m pro-choice, support gay marriage and I want us out of Afghanistan now”

So why are you still a Republican ? What is there in the GOP that still attracts you to that, as Goethe would say, “hotchpotch of fallacy and violence” ?
