Pathetic hardly describes the vile nature of his insinuation.

  3. Apology accepted! Hopefully he’s learned why what he’s said is so wrong.

He”l find some new BS. People like this – they hook onto stereo types and then go looking for more BS to support what they “believe”

    2. He has not apologised.

      His PR company did that.

And why should be have to accept apologies from bigots.

Bigots should not be allowed on the airwaves.

Firing Carson Daly is just as reasonable a response as accepting a PR person’s ‘apology’.

  4. What a spoon. Gay people in many parts of the US are much braver on a daily basis than he could possibly realise.

You can spot true bigots; if they get caught, their apologies are anemic, at best, as if forced to do so.

    That’s not an appology!

    Post a reply →
    1. Yes, exactly – that would only work if he was himself gay (and even then would be in doubtful taste).

  8. God, I am so bored with this stale stereotyping. Make a similar “joke” about a Jew or a black person and see how long your career lasts, though the boundaries appear to be rather more loosely defined when it comes to gay people.

    (Who is Carson Daly, anyway?)

  9. His apology is only worth it if he apologises to Mark Bingham’s mother.

Exactly right! As I said in a later post, Daly will never be the man Mark Bingham was. If he’s a support of LGBT rights, why on earth would he resort to such disgusting, vile insinuations about the people he claims to support? It always amazes me when they “apologise” after the fact when they’re caught in the act or someone gets on their case. He wouldn’t have made such a feeble, disingenuous apology had Mark Bingham’s mother not called him out on it.

  10. Maybe by his and Santorum’s reasoning, gay guys could overcome the pilot by hitting him on the head with a pink bowling ball (see other story).

Santorum in particular needs a bowling ball stuffed up his rearside.

Given how full of poo he is, toss him out of a plane over the vatican.

He’s prob poo out the bowling ball in what would be the next thing to a nuc explosion.

called a 2 for 1 Daly and the vatican blown to hell

have a pvt pilot take him up in a plane and then jump out with a parachute.

Lets watch daly’s god save him. (guaranteed 100% if you dont know how to fly a plane, you are dead meat.)

Not only was his joke a slur on gay people but making such jokes so soon after what was a terrifying and potentially a dangerous situation is sick. Would Carson Daly be laughing if that plane took out another skyscraper?

  17. Insulting to the memory of Mark Bingham, a gay PR executive and enthusiastic rugby player, was among 44 passengers on United Airlines Flight 93 that the hijackers aimed for the US Capitol. Already planes had crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. On board Flight 93, Bingham, 31, was told by his mother Alice Hoagland by cell phone of the suicide mission and he, along with Tom Burnett, 38, Todd Beamer, 32 and Jeremy Glick, 31, lead an effort to take back the plane – which crashed into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

What an idiot. Apology is good if he meant it but I have doubts and think it’s because he got caught out.

  19. It’s somehow always the people who ‘ought to know better.’ Some paid-up PC homo-friendly straight friends of mine once expressed astonishment at the existence of a gay miners’ support group. Surely no gay man would hack away sweatily at a coal-face? Duuuuhhh!

    Post a reply →
    1. Often, anyway – I had a woman friend who found it inconceivable that a gay man would be uninterested in Eurovision, while someone I know was asked by a friend of his whether gay men had a particular aptitude for tennis (yeah, right, because of course a liking for cock translates into handiness with a racquet)!

      Post a reply →
      1. Perhaps it is assumed that manual skill with the one is transferable to the other. I have personally not found this to be the case, and in any case I infinitely prefer cocks to tennis racquets.

Hahaha I nearly split my sides Rehan!! So funny!! It always makes me laugh what type of life straight people think we live. We’re all rich, have great dress sense, all love musicals (though I do like them lol) and know a gay person the moment we see them! Yeh right!

Love the Tennis comment though!! So funny!

    1. Because Pink News is trying to be the 10th largest gay news service in the US

That is why Pink News copies stories from the bigger American gay news websites and reposts them as their own stories.

Sadly due to the time difference between the UK and the US, by the time these boring American stories get posted on here, they are already old news.

  22. I think he should be fired.

That ‘apology’ was written by a PR person.

    And it#’s utterly meaningless.

if he was not a homophobic a$$hole then he would not be issuing an apology, as he would not have engaged in bigotry in the 1st place.

I am sick of thse nasty scumbags behaving like horrible bigots and then having their PR person issue a worthless apoogy.

I want there to be career ending conseqyuences for bigotry.

F*** you Carson Daly – your ‘apology’ is NOT accepted.

YOu are a homophobic a$$hole who deserves to be fired.

    Post a reply →
  23. Non-bigoted people never have to issue ‘apologies’ for bigotry.

    Why?

Because they do not engage in homophobic hate speech.

Good for Mark Bingham’s mother for standing up to this vile, disgusting display of homophobia. Mark Bingham was a far better man and example of masculinity than Daly will ever be.

  26. This clown is obviously unaware that one of the lead guys that kept one of the planes of 9/11 from hitting it’s target was gay. I am ashamed that I can’t remember his name but there was an interview with his mother after the fact. You could hear him saying LETS DO IT on an audio clip just before the plane hit the ground. So shame on you Carson Daly (whoever the heck you are anyway) you piece of crap.

Very easy to apologies after the event! It was still said and that can’t be taken away, no matter how many apologies he gives.

To me when someone says something like that without thinking, they’re speaking their mind.
