My heart goes out to the victim of this crime and thank goodness a good sentence was passed.

On the down side, he could be out in less than 4 years!

Dispicable – at least the sentence he received is more reflective of his crime than usual.

It doesn’t state if the victim had long-lasting effects from the attack, other than perhaps, PDSD. Even if he maintains serious symptoms the sentence is accurate enough for attempted murder.

Sadly, as Gingerlycolors states, he’ll be out sooner, but more likely on the 2/3rd mark (72 months), unless he’s been held in custody since his arrest, in which case it’ll be six years minus his custody period.

As the sentence is over 2yrs and for a violent offence, he will be seen as a MAPPA case, so will be monitored on release, and his victim will be consulted before any release is suggested. Future accomodation, like all MAPPA offenders, will be subject to control.

Unlike so many of his homophobic counterparts, he’s unlikely to have an easy time of it on his release.

Sounds like an appropriate sentence. Better than in many other countries.

I wish we had something like those Red Berets years ago ready to protect people in the streets and parks.

What was he doing down a dark alley late at night?

It’s gays like this that give the rest of us a bad name. Lets hope he’s learnt his lesson?

  9. Sentence was a bit harsh, hopefully he will be out withiin a few months. I pray for him.

Aiden, you are sick if you think there is any justification for what this animal did to that young man, sorry maybe you are a christian, one of those who thinks it is ok to murder gay people, I wonder how god will treat you when you have to explain your actions,
