Believe what we say or we’ll let you die/kill you or take away your basic human rights!
GGGRRRR we’re kind hearted moral religious people, only complete assholes like us go to heaven.

    1. Remember guys, play your cards right and you get to spend eternity with people like this. What a nightmare.

  2. I have a feeling this will be good for the charity and an own goal for the haters.

  3. When asking themselves “what would jesus do?” these frock wearing, pointy hatted dimwits decide “mistreat the homeless” is the proper answer. Is it any wonder that I have such utter contempt for the intellectually dishonest, mendacious, bigoted filth.

  4. Churches, masters of manipulation and punishment.

  5. Dave North 9 Mar 2012, 1:10pm

If there was a second coming of JC, these types would be the ones that would execute him.

    These people are NOT Christians.

  6. Words, for once, fail me.

    1. Mumbo Jumbo 9 Mar 2012, 8:06pm

You can always try these two:

      1) Child

      2) Rapists.

      I hope this helps :-)

  7. If you would like to support this worthy charity, they have a handy Donate button at the top of their page. :)

    1. Great idea !

  8. Just a catholic excuse to stop giving money. The Rev. is a Methodist and a woman priest so since that point she does not follow catholic ideals in the first place. So she is totally entitled to her opinions as an individual. But in this moments of economic turmoil the church found the perfect excuse to stop giving money without looking mean.

  9. Singapore Sam 9 Mar 2012, 1:53pm

Hard to believe this posturing. Maybe,
Iike so many other diocese, they are simply bankrupt from compensation claims for abuse.

  10. Singapore Sam 9 Mar 2012, 1:59pm

Oh look, that diocese of Sacramento agreed to pay $35 million in compensation for abuse in 2005. So that’s where the money went.

    1. Keith Farrell 9 Mar 2012, 2:39pm

yes well, shame, lots of us suffered abuse and most of us will never see a cent, I now live in the UK, what happened in South Africa, would have to go through the courts there, if it ever did, and you cannot just claim from the church, they want paces times and dates, that was almost 40 years ago, I dont remember, I do remember what happened but cannot even remember what the priest looked like, the only priest that I remember from my childhood, I only met when I was 19 or 20 and he was a good priest, I think retired now if he is still alive.

  11. CoffeeDrinkerFL 9 Mar 2012, 1:59pm

The RC Church in America and across the world is a corporation without compassion, whose sole purpose is to make money without paying taxes. It’s their way or the highway for anyone who does not practice what they preach.

  12. Singapore Sam 9 Mar 2012, 2:02pm

Looks like there is still ongoing litigation for the abuse, and the diocese is also being sued for fraud.

  13. How caring. How charitable. How compassionate. How “christian”.

    1. Derek Williams 9 Mar 2012, 4:52pm

Why would we pay money to people who stone us to death?

      1. johnny33308 9 Mar 2012, 6:32pm

charming name, poo….I’m certain you are a lovely christian with love in your heart, eh? once again proof that the religious are the deviants…gay people would not murder those who do not agree with us…you would do so in an instant, judging by your charming name, breeder….what anyone does in their own bedroom is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, pervert

        1. Don’t feed the troll!

      2. If you want an idea of the sort of person”poo” probably is Look at “Richard Dawkins, hate mail” on youtube.

      3. Poo on the penis..,........euuugh! 10 Mar 2012, 2:33pm

The recipients of the AID are starving children you moron!

    2. Of course…any decent individual would!

  14. Keith Farrell 9 Mar 2012, 2:29pm

I wonder if church property is subject to tak in the USA, in South Africa, the church does not pay property tax (council tax in the UK) and they dont pay income tax, I think that the chuch shold pay the same tax and only be aloowed to clim the charrity portion for the money spent on atual charrities (sorry spelling bad) why must we the tax payer help them surely it is money we have to pay by means of a non volentery donation to the goverment and we should have some say

    1. I believe that since the church is interfering and trying to influence politics, it should be subject, like any other non-profit organization, to losing it’s tax exempt status. Anyone know how to start that movement?

      1. johnny33308 9 Mar 2012, 6:37pm

With a letter to the IRS, and we should make a concerted effort to have all political churches taxed…they have no business interfering in our Civil Society, unless of course, they would LIKE our Civil Society to interfere in their religion… they would not like that one little bit, but it is time to play tit for tat with these evil promoters of bigotry, in the courts, using the tax code and the law against them….they will lose just like they are losing the ‘culture war’ that they STARTED

  15. Raymond A. Weaver 9 Mar 2012, 2:32pm

I don’t remember hearing that Jesus based his miracles of healing or feeding on what those that received them thought.

  16. And still the Catholic Church continues to make them look more like Lucifers representatives on Earth not God’s!

Years of child abuse and now withholding payment to a charity because the directors individual views do not match those of the Church.

  17. As the Catholics and Christians fail again to help the LGBT community needs to step in and pick up the cause of helping people. Christians failing to help is a sign that they are losing the war of hate they have for others and know that it is matter of time before they are made to stop their discrimination against LGBT people for good. This also proves the Christians are fakes who do not really practice what they preach, love one another. Their evil side of hate and destruction has taken them over and they will die because of the harm they have done for so long not only to children who they have abused but the lies they have told to harm others. They are reaping what they have sown.

  18. So basicly the Catholic Church has stuck it’s finger(s) up to the poor and vulnerable homeless people.

    Is anyone really surprised.

Some one once compared the Vatican to an appendix – no reason for it’s existence, we could all live happier longer lives without it and when it grumbles it is potentially fatal!

  19. My 2cents 9 Mar 2012, 5:03pm

Another example of God’s “gentle people” in action. Once the catholic propaganda engine starts, to hell with morality and helping the homeless. This damned catholicism has once again been revealed as the truly despicable and evil institution it is.

  20. Võ Đông Cung 9 Mar 2012, 5:37pm

Catholic teaching is “OUT OF DATE” long ago…..

  21. Elaine Cruickshank 9 Mar 2012, 5:52pm

I thought Christianity was about caring for people and helping them? remember the golden rule to treat others the way you wish to be treated not condemn? …”You” say that you are christian people and yet you sit there and judge when you have no right to judge others by your standards?
For with every judgement you make, you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get.. Matthew 7:1-3. Hmmm … guess you all missed bible class that day eh? what? huh? Diocese and flock you being the definition of cruelty you’ve all just made a right fool of yourselves, in-front of the world? … such a shame that you ain’t learned a damn thing … After me now?
[Chorus]♫ ♪ Shame, Shame, Shame, Shame on you ♫ ♪

  22. johnny33308 9 Mar 2012, 6:25pm

Ah, the face of Christian piety….not very pretty, is it? Strange how the Church speaks of love, but acts in ways opposed to that word, and much more like a bully; it is an autocratic dictatorship with unreserved rigidity and it lacks any compassion whatsoever…..when words and actions are not in alignment, the definition of this sort of conflict is called ‘hypocrisy’ …hypocrisy, thy name is Christianity,…tax churches now…do not allow them to escape punishment for their great evil…they only enrich themselves at the expense of innocent gullible people…..

    1. Dr Robin Guthrie 10 Mar 2012, 2:49am

They paint themselves as some all loving club ministered by nice vicars and priests.

It is a well of ignorance, perpetuated by years of indoctrinating children with hell fire and lies.

Even now they lie claiming marriage as their own when history shows it isn’t

They are losing their power and are backed into a corner.

People now see through the bull and are calling them for it.

  23. Shows just how “christian” and charitable the Catholic church really is. Talk about ignoring the basic principles of the bible.

    1. Dr Robin Guthrie 10 Mar 2012, 2:45am

Don’t you mean “Their VERSION of the bible”.

  24. Robin Evans 9 Mar 2012, 7:53pm

Keep it up Catholics, the more you attack the crazier you look and the sooner your pillaging and rape of the peoples of earth will end…

    1. Dr Robin Guthrie 10 Mar 2012, 2:44am

F the kids. Our dogma is much more important.

      Its shameful.

      These people are NOT Christains.

  25. J Stratford 9 Mar 2012, 8:32pm

That’s why you never should put money in the collection plates! They are not helping the needy if the needy are gay or pro-gay.

  26. Dr Robin Guthrie 10 Mar 2012, 2:43am

    Is that aramaic or hebrew.

Or perhaps Gordons Gin or Rot Gut,

I am a Vatican 2 Catholic. Always will be. The laity must lead the way. The Bishops are lost. Children abused. Women being robbed of their right to make their own health decisions. Vicious lies by stand up reps for the faith–the sanctorum and the newt and not a peep out of the Bishops. But they want to take money away from a homeless shelter??????????? This is obscene.

  28. “It’s all fine and you even get a burial at a cathedral, with all the blessing of the Church, if you don’t say you’re gay”

  29. You are obviously masturbating over your keyboard. The rest of us would really rather not know about it.

  30. Poo on the penis...,-.euuugh! 10 Mar 2012, 1:42pm

    A homoexualite named Harry said…

Abuse isn’t exclusively homosexual neither is it proportionately homosexual. Nor are homosexuals attracted to the priesthood.
However, I am sure you spend a lot of your time obsessing about what other people do in bed.”

    My reply…
If as you say, homsoexuals are not attracted to the priesthood and most priests are heterosexual, that actually undermines your argument since the priesthood yields a much higher rate of homosexual or bisexual child abuse than heterosexual child abuse.. Why then are the minority (homosexuals) commiting the majority of abuse? As I said, homosexual child abuse is disproportionate in the church. Thank you for your support of my view..

    1. Dear Mr Poo etc. You are seriously mentally ill and I am now asking other posters on this site to make a determined effort to ignore all your posting. Giving you any attention is just promoting your illness and that is not a kind thing to do. So please can we now all ignore this person’s posting? It’s the kind thing to do.

  32. GingerlyColors 10 Mar 2012, 4:12pm

What has drilling for oil, building the Channel Tunnel and the Catholic Church all got in common?
    They are all boring!
Of money that is given to the Catholic Church in charity, how much is kept by the church for it’s ‘expenses’. The Catholic Church is loaded – just think of all the treasures they had before Henry VIII disolved the monasteries!
Anybody wishing to help the homeless or any other charity for that matter should make sure that their money goes to a reputable organisation that is not bogged down with religious dogma.

  33. Greg McMillian 11 Mar 2012, 12:41am

Same mental state from 400AD to now; they’ll give last rights to the devil before admitting how wrong an unfair their behavior is to the world because of being right without facts…
Well, look to those 10 rules you got, tell me how many has been broken by every pope from then to now…
Poor minded welding power will drown the eyes of anyone’s god.
    As you done already.

  34. The Catholic Diocese is now promoting hate among it’s people. Just to mention the Catholic Diocese is the richest organizations in the country. Their love for money is a clear indictions that the Devils has entered the house of the Lord. The Catholic Diocese is closing the door on GOD’s people. Where is forgiveness and the love Jesus stood for and walked this earth. This and so many reasons I will pull my children out of this faith.

  35. Good for the English catholics. At least they’re doing something right across the pond.

  36. Can’t you just see the lu-u-u-uv? Punishing the poor for the Church’s inability to come into the 21st Century. Hopefully they can find another, non-discriminatory agency take over funding.

  37. “But money collected during the annual appeal is very much Catholic parishioner money.

“Why would we ask someone to contribute money to an organization and ask them to overlook all of those things that undermine the church’s teachings?'”

So I am sure that the church will understand if gay tax money is not spent (eg Catholic schools, hospitals, adoption agencies, food banks) on supporting a church that demonizes us. Besides, the Constitution mandates the separation of church and state

  38. Matthew 25:40-46 (New International Version)

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

Thanks to Timothy Kincaid at Box Turtle Bulletin for this scripture

  39. So the Sacramento homeless are going to be worse off now because the church has a hair up its hole about abortion and homosexuality? Nice job, A**holes!
