We will have to see what the legislation actually does. This government has been dragging its feet for years when it comes to gay rights and it is only an impending election that has forced its hand. It wants to make sure it keeps as many votes as possible including those of gay men and lesbians. I simply do not trust a government that is led by the ex-President of Catholic Action.

Good to hear recogition of the facts that Malta should not be dragging its heels on inevitable changes or pandering to the Catholic church.
