Unfortunately too much money is wasted when it goes to certain LGBT ‘projects’ . . . just ask Kairos what they are doing re: the hundreds of thousands of pounds wasted and STILL no LGBT centre 5 years down the line . . .
Personally Im not that fussed – but she’s right – they did it for the Queens Jubilee.
It would have made sense to include some branding reflecting the Olympics and London too.
I disagree with Kate’s notion that this money could be ‘put towards civil rights like marriage’. The amount would be peanuts and Kate forgets that visibility is the first cornerstone of all drives for Equality.
Ideas must be visible to catch on – thats why people pay for advertising on billboards & buses for example – this is no different.

A waste of money and effort. If you’re going to put effort into gay projects, put it towards civil rights like marriage, not towards colourful bikes.
