Michele Bachmann, unsuccessful candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, dubbed Piers Morgan ‘rude’ after he called her statements about gays ‘judgemental’.

During her interview on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight, Minnesota Representative Bachmann says she does not judge anyone.

Morgan says: “You’ve been pretty judgemental in the past.”

He then called her “the most judgemental lady in American politics” at which Bachmann appears surprised.

She tells him: “Well that’s rude. That’s absolutely rude, I’m not a judgemental person […] I believe in traditional values, I believe in marriage between a man and a woman, but I don’t think that’s bigoted.”

Morgan then reads back to her a 2004 comment she made that being gay was “bondage, personal bondage and personal enslavement”.

Bachmann repeats that she was not there “as anyone’s judge”.

During her campaign for the presidential nomination, Bachmann’s citizen inquisitors included a 16-year-old who refused to accept Bachmann’s argument that gay people already have equal marriage rights because they are entitled to enter into straight marriages, an 8-year-old whispering in her ear at a book-signing that his lesbian mother did not need “fixing”, and a gay robot who insisted she “support equal rights for gay communities and robot gay people”..
