  1. “Marriage is between a man and a woman so this is completely nuts’?”

Yeah, compared to the belief in two naked freaks in a garden and a talking snake as the 6,000 year origin of humanity, a god that can be sometimes a dove that poos fire on your head that is part of one god but, er, then again isn’t, where eating shellfish is an abomination but eating bread and pretending its a god isn’t???

No, one of that’s nuts at all.

Lets listen to the people who believe this and let them legislate for equality and civil liberties, so.

    1. He probably feels the need to keep his Tory street cred up. One oof those people who craves publicity. In fact his opposition to it may help the campaign, thats how highly he is thought of.

But what does civil marriage have to do with the Cof E?

    2. Any piece of evidence that he believes in young earth creationism? Or is it that you are incapable of creating an argument not riddled with logical fallacies?

      1. Ok then, I will just say he is “completely nuts”. Is that a sound enough argument for you?

        1. Same sort of argument Mr Bone uses …

          His level of debate …

          Seems fair enough.

      2. “Any piece of evidence that he believes in young earth creationism? Or is it that you are incapable of creating an argument not riddled with logical fallacies?”

Read the comment. Its was a generalisation against those religious who believe in, what essentially is, nonsense, but yet like to use that nonsense as a basic for determining the legal rights of others. Logical comes no where into the equation when it comes to religion.

Perhaps you could try make a logical argument yourself?

    3. That guy looks completely nuts.

  2. Spanner1960 1 Mar 2012, 2:58pm

“Wouldn’t it just be very simple to write back and say, ‘Marriage is between a man and a woman so this is completely nuts’?”

    WHO SAYS!!??
Wouldn’t it be even simpler to say that everyone is entitled to get married, and that a bunch of people that wander around in robes reading 2000 year old fairy tales wants to tell otherwise.
Now you tell me who is nuts?

    1. As I mentioned in a previous post, in Christianity, relationships and marriage are indivisible, so it’s not far-fetched to suggest that what he’s really saying is that homosexual relationships are “completely nuts”. Yet another sexually-repressed, twisted sack of s__t.

      1. @Paolo

        Yes he is nuts

But he is even more nuts if he believes marriage and relationship go hand in hand but wishes to deny that to homosexuals and then suggests that gay relationships are totally nuts whilst denying us marriage. Let us marry – sorts the relationship problem out.

        Duh thicko. (Bone, not you!)

But indoctrination and fundamentalism doesnt let you see solutions nor does it let you see honesty, warmth, compassion or humanity.

He will probably end up as bitter an old man as Widdecombe is Ann Widdecombe (not sure there is a worse adjective for Ann Widdecombe than her own name!)

  3. Jason Brown 1 Mar 2012, 3:00pm

If Bone got some boning he wouldn’t be so angry and sexually frustrated all the time.

    1. Mary Marriott 1 Mar 2012, 3:03pm

      very true

      1. Well he’s not going to get boned with either the attitude, the expression, or the denial of No Hair going on on the top of his head.

    2. The thought of Bone getting some boning …

      *bowk*

  4. Mary Marriott 1 Mar 2012, 3:03pm

    so er bollocks to Bone

  5. He looks like a right miserable old scrote doesn’t he. Another completely out of touch Tory!

  6. Do the people of Wellingborough realise what a bigot they have representing them?

Putting aside the equal marrigae thing just for one moment, his meanness at 87p per hour to a member of staff which led to his cries that the minimum wage would lead to vast unemployment was shown to be totally wrong. Whilst the minimum wage was in force unemployment fell drastically.

Now, on marriage… clearly he believes that if you are not orientated to a person of the opposite sex you are sub human.

Well, my view is if you believe human rights are a choice and open to be disregarded then you reap what you sow (as a Christian might have said). He deserves to be treated as a second class citizen.

Its time Cameron spoke out against the vile bigots like Bone. He should have the Tory whip removed.

    1. Craig Denney 1 Mar 2012, 3:44pm

      Hi Stu,
“Do the people of Wellingborough realise what a bigot they have representing them?”

      They do know:
      http://tinyurl.com/7hemeow

      1. Thanks, Craig.

They now know my opinion too.

        1. Craig Denney 1 Mar 2012, 4:06pm

The best thing is, it’s the first story/input onto the Wellingborough People website and that means it will be on the first page of any search engine for a long time to come.

He is going to regret that statement.

          1. Fabulous.

Egg on face comes to mind.

    2. Singapore Sam 1 Mar 2012, 5:51pm

” he should have the whip removed” – yes it’s clearly lodged right up his a*sre, along with that big stick.

    3. Robert in S. Kensington 1 Mar 2012, 6:30pm

I wouldn’t hold my breath on Cameron confronting these bigots. What I’d like to see is Ed Milliband’s party endorse marriage equality as official policy, pitting two parties against the Tories. Without Nick Clegg, Cameron wouldn’t have been able to form a government. If the Tories want re-election in 2015, Cameron had better sort out the 100+ who are opposed or his party will face defeat given the dismal result in the last general election, not even a mandate. A lot of disilluisioned gay voters who voted Tory in the last election may not be there in 2015.

      1. @Robert

I’d like to see Milliband end people saying that he doesnt endorse equal marriage (although I think he has made it fairly clear that he does); there clearly is some ambiguity so he should address that.

I would also like to see Cameron discipline those who are in his party who behave in a homophobic and unparliamentary manner that demeans people particularly when it goes against coalition policy.

        1. The conservative party is for religious bigots amounst others . Its their party and by in large they make up an unenlightened 30 percent of the population ! You can manipulate them or even try to educate them but at the end of the day they will just find other ways of been bigoted and nasty . . . . that the way they like it ! Liberals like yourself would do well to campaign all out for proportional representation by any means because otherwise one day that hypocritical 30 percent might gain an overall majority in parliament !

          1. @Rodent

I would love to have seen PR. I think the handling of the referendum means any likelihood of that happening in the UK has been set back at least a generation …

To be fair there are some very LGBT supportive Tories. Unfortunately they do not seem to be speaking out much against Bone and his like

  7. He’s obviously nuts, then growing up with the surname “bone” would do that to you.

  8. But he’s absolutely wrong! Marriage already is not just between a man and a woman. There are 13 countries in the world where same sex marriages are legally performed and it may come as a shock to him but people from those countries do come to the UK. Also there are churches in the UK already performing same sex marriage, including the Quakers etc.

Bone just comes across as an ignorant bigot!

    1. Comes across as an arrogant, retarded and homophobic bigot

  9. Gordon Patten 1 Mar 2012, 3:50pm

Isn’t it irrelevent to say that marriage should be between one man and one woman? Shouldnt it be relevant to say marriage should be between individuals who love and cherrish each other? It would seem that those who think marriage for anyone but hetrosexuals is “nuts” live in the past and do not represent those of those who live in the current.

  10. Peter Bone is neo-fascist, extremist scum, like so many in the Tory Party.

I want Pink News to contact the LGBTory Group to ask it if they agree that Peter Bone’s extremism means he should be expelled from the party because of this BNP style attitudes., What does Matthew Sephton make of Bone’s opinions?

    1. I would like to see Cameron remove the whip from Bone

      1. That sounds a bit kinky

        1. He might be a bit surpressed!

          1. I’m sure “nuts” can be worked into that phrase somehow as well.

          2. …and ‘bone’

  11. I do NOT want a ‘consultation’ on marriage equality.

Marriage equality is not up for debate – it is a civil right which the religious cults or extremists like Peetr Bone can f*** off if they think they can interfere with.

Seeing as this ‘consultation’ seems to be encouraging all sorts of extremist bigotry, I want the consultation scrapped and I want David Camerson to introduce marriage equality legislation this year.

    1. Yes we know you don’t, most of the rest of us dont either.

It’s happening. It’s not going to stop equal marriage (that train has long since left the station).

There will be some interesting debates, and the only positive thing we can say about the consultation is that the bigots won’t be able to say they didnt have the opportunity to have their voice heard!

They are already showing themselves up for the idiots that they are. The argument is already won though.

      1. Robert in S. Kensington 1 Mar 2012, 6:33pm

Exactly! If this eventually passes in Parliament, we’ve yet to battle the House of Lords, a lot of right wing tories in that bunch of bigots, 28 from the C of E alone and many of the Widdecombe and Burrowes ilk.

    2. But it isn’t a consultation on *whether* to have marriage equality, is it? It’s a consultation on *how* to make it happen. Now, that may look like a staling tactic to you and me – but the concept has already been agreed, as far as I know. The rest is detail. Give Cameron some credit: we might want politics to be about idealism, but often it’s about what can practically be achieved.

  12. “Completely nuts”? He should know.

    Fool.

  13. Pterosaur 1 Mar 2012, 5:10pm

At last some sanity. Thank goodness for Peter Bone.

Same sex marriage is an oxymoron. Like a four wheeled bicycle or a two storey bungalow.

    1. You either don’t know what an oxymoron is or have an inadequate grasp of English.

Still, if you’re up to it you might want to inform countries like Spain and The Netherlands where same-sex marriage is legal that their laws are oxymoronic.

      1. Exactly Rehan

Perhaps when he’s contacting countires to tell them that their laws are wrong, he might try to explain to the Scandinavian countries that the increase in rathe of opposite sex marriages which occurred following the introduction of same sex marriage should be ignored (well that is what the bigots usually do!)

        1. oops rate

        2. Dr Robin Guthrie 1 Mar 2012, 6:54pm

I think we should stop using the word “bigot”.

They seem to play on it and use it in their victimhood paranoia.

Perhaps the phrases “Adaption deficient”, or “Progress Disabled” would suffice.

          1. @Dr Guthrie

Don’t like your alternatives, they sound too clinical.

There might be better ones but I can’t think of any just now.

Until then, if they don’t want to be called a bigot, then its simple – they shouldnt behave like one!

          2. Nawal Husnoo 1 Mar 2012, 7:42pm

I have always used the expression “unable to engage with reality”.

            [Gay Agenda, 2:4] (http://www.gayagendabook.com/gayagenda.html#2_4)

          3. Liking that one, although I will still use bigot sometimes ….

    2. Dr Robin Guthrie 1 Mar 2012, 6:50pm

As in “Pterosaur” is reference to an an extinct dinosaur.

      1. ….or a creature that lost the evolutionary battle and is nothing by a paragraph in a museum?

        Apt, isn’t it?

  14. I thought I was reading a script idea for an episode of the New Statesman.
87p an hour for an intern and vetoing the minimum wage?!?
Peter Bone- Alan B’stard in the flesh!

  15. How embarrassing for the Tories that they have MP’s like this in their party.

  16. Singapore Sam 1 Mar 2012, 5:45pm

If that sort of circular argument is his level of debate, he should certainly not be an MP.

He also needs a better barber.

    1. I know a good barber with a cut throat razor ….

  17. Sounds more like a plea for attention.

  18. Why can’t these troglodyte Tories just shut up? It’s not as if they represent the mainstream general public or even the senior ministers of their own party any more.

  19. Even crazier is creating a church just so a monarch could get a divorce! Oh right, that happened. So, creating divorce doesn’t wreck the institution of marriage, but allowing two people of the same sex does? That man is an idiot.

  20. apart from the obvious homophobia, why does this twat hate religious freedom? (quakers, liberal jews etc WANT TO MARRY SAME-SEX COUPLES!)

  21. Typical (as in very common) Tory exploitative behaviour. He lives by claiming divine rights and by accusing everybody else of owing him money and services.

  22. I think Peter (completely nuts) Bone could do a good “Edna Everage” impersonation with the right outfit and glasses, anyone else see that?

    1. No I cannot see it. Dame Edna has empathy.

      1. You are right there, here could never do that bit of Edna. It was more the quizzical wry look as though he’s hiding a humorous secret as he confronts the camera, like he doesn’t really believe himself.

  23. Some neurotic fools can only feel powerful and worthy by tearing others down, even if the power and worth is an illusion, like the belief in a virgin birth or the gift of 40 virgins in heaven.

  24. Well if that’s the kind of arguments they are going to put forward against “gay” marriage then we’re going to win and win pretty soon.

    1. Robert in S. Kensington 2 Mar 2012, 11:39am

I concur, but what about the House of Lords comprised of a lot ot right wing loonies, 28 of them I believe from the C of E? They could delay it for up to two years even if it passes in Parliament.

  25. I’d be very very very surprised if the CoE didn’t say that marriage wasn’t between a man and woman. What’s new?

As long as it’s between a man and woman it doesn’t matter for how long that marriage is for and it doesn’t matter how many times you get married and it doesn’t matter how many children you get from each marriage but hey as long as it is between a man and a woman who cares !!!!! As long as we have marriage between a man and woman the world won’t come to end and we’ll have a really sound bedrock for society. Heaven’s knows what awful things may happen if we are allowed to get married such a silly idea, almost as silly as giving gay people any rights at all in the first place!!

    Twat!

    1. Robert in S. Kensington 2 Mar 2012, 11:38am

The thing is, nobody asks these bigots for the evidence to show that same-sex marriage impacts straight marriage let alone “redefine” it. None of them acknowledge that civil marriage is different to religious marriage. The think religion governs civil marriage and so do their beliefs. They’re all insane.

  26. When will everybody realize that what makes all people the same is so much more important than what makes us different. I just don’t understand the bigots who discriminate against gays. As if homosexuals aren’t human beings too. As if they’re not someone’s son, or daughter, or sister, or brother, or father, or mother, or friend. All people want to live in peace, we all feel love, we all want the best for our loved ones, we all have hopes and dreams, we can all feel pain, we all want to follow our bliss, we all struggle, we’re all just trying to get through life the best way we know how. How does any of that change with the color of someone’s skin, or their physical abilities, or what God they pray to, or what language they speak, or what their sexual orientation is? If a man loves and wants to marry another man, or a woman loves and wants to marry another woman, what is that to anyone else? They’re not hurting anyone.

  27. Only a truly vicious, hateful, spiteful, selfish, vile misanthrope would begrudge someone their love of someone else. People who hate homosexuals should be ashamed of themselves. Those bigots deserve to live in the shadows. They’re not fit to show their faces in decent society. And it is patently unfair that gays and their loved ones should suffer the devastating effects of discrimination, while bigots and their loved ones go along untouched. It’s past time that the bigots are made to pay for their discrimination BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. Let the bigots and their loved ones start suffering and maybe they’ll learn their lesson. Anyone coming into contact with Baldry, Bone, the members of Parliament that oppose equality, or their loved ones, should take any action possible to harm them.

  28. Another Tory showing the party in its true colours

  29. Tory scum

  30. What a nut job!
