Catholics on Question Time or Any Questions normally lambast gays given the opportunity. Would have been very interesting if the question of Gay Marriage HAD come up on the programme!

  8. ‘It’s even in the Bible that you create through the system of marrying’ – what an utterly ignorant quoting from a book of pure superstition – May I remind this bigot and murderer that children are made by having sex not by getting married – and can I also point out that GAYS are as relevent to the future care and upbringing of all the unwanted babies, abandoned in Zimbabwa every day as those hetro bullies who father them. If marriage is so vital to his concept of the future, why does he and his hetro people abuse it so much and so often?

The ramblings of a senile man (tertiary syphillis?) have about as much relevance to a decent moral society as Pol Pot.

Mugabes duplicitous xenophobic, racist and homophobic attitudes and history of torture and state sponsored murder will be his legacy rather than any so called morality.

As for homosexuality being a European cultural issue, how does he explain the homosexuals in Congo in pre Christian times (ie pre colonial Africa) … homosexuality is most definitely global, not European, not western, not Asian, not African – global

You know you picked the right side, when Robert Mugabe is on the other one.
So, maybe, hopefully, when he goes, everything he stood for, will fall as a package.

After all, it happened before. The very first Western nation to decriminalize homosexual acts was France in 1791, eager to cancel out any suppression of personal freedom after the Revolution. A more recent example is Russia, where decriminalization came in 1993 with one of the new state’s very first major updates to the Soviet penal code (by the way, if you ask me, if it hadn’t been done back then, in the short period of liberal idealism, it would be standing very very strong now).

I think it might be best for you to do a blog, rather than put all your comments on here. You could post a link to your blog, and then we can read them at leisure.

I think you raise some great points, but I find it difficult to read them all and I tend now to just ignore them, because they are difficult to read without punctuation, I just see words jumping at me like “government”, “terrorist” “obama”, ” families”….

Also, short comments have more impact. I saw where you commented around 8 times in a row with huge spiels of speech. Be precise in your comments. Remember the topic because you often go way off topic.

There is no hope for Mugabe! The passing of this dictator will leave the door open a wind of change, more liberal views and chance of greater democracy. If Tsvangirai can speak out now hopefully others will do likewise. Death after all has a certain finality to it.

This is not the way to debate this – nor is being so ignorant as to call ‘it’ a ‘black thing’….that makes absolutely no sense and just makes you sound like a raving racist looking for an excuse….

How do you think that makes black people on these pages feel?

What makes you think that everyone here is ‘white’ in the first place…?
