  1. If my partner tried to keep me a secret, I’d end it and sell him out to a newspaper too…

Complete and utter lack of sympathy for Babeu. As a gay republican he is collaborating with those who would make homosexual something that is shameful and must be kept secret at all costs.

Unfortunately, our country is full of creeps such as Babeu, and they all seem to want to become politicians so they can cram their bile down our throats.
I regret that many people in Arizona will vote for this turkey, and will probably elect him, if for no other reason than Arizona is heavily Republican. But the rest of us will have to bear the burden of his bigotry. Yes, even gay people in American can be bigots — very big bigots.

Some US sites are reporting that Babeu was cheating on Jose, and the threats to deport occurred when Jose wanted to break up the relationship because of the cheating. Babeu – what a scumbag!!!!

In his press conference Paul Babeu said the following:

“Yesterday, a tabloid article made a number of false allegations about me. Only one was true: I’m gay. Today, I held a press conference to discuss this.”

Regarding his sexuality, Babeu said “my personal life is exactly that.”

So: he’s a cop. He’s a Republican. He is patriotic and firm on illegal immigration. And he happens to be privately gay. So what? I look forward to him standing as President.

      So what?
The phases “Uncle Tom” or “Turkey voting for Xmas” spring to mind.
He’s not just selling himself out, but every other gay person in the states.
The candidate and party he’s lending his expertise to would chuck our hard won rights under the bus as soon as look at us.
If he wants to be a self-loathing closet case that’s his business, but when he actively campaigns to trash equality for the rest of us he shouldn’t expect any sympathy from this quarter.

The most shocking thing was he was working to elect a homophobe like Romney.

Still, at least it wasn’t Prick Sanitorum.

Wow! A breakup can’t get much messier and uglier than this. I guess reconciliation is out of the question.

  11. There was an excellent CNN nterview yesterday with Sheriff Babeu which appears on his website. In fact the dumped ex-boyfriend retained (effectively stole) passwords to wesbsites which had been on-sold and then entered them to tweet and post maliciously. Babeu’s attorney required the Mexican to desist and there it should have ended – but instead, lies of deportation threats were created and publicised.Interestingly, this at a time when Babeu is leading in the polls. SO, far from being an example of Republican hyposcrisy (Paul is happily – but privately – gay) it is in fact another piece of snide leftist sabotage of a conservative gay man. Happily, the Republican blogs suggest he may still be elected to Congeress. Good luck to him! The election of a hot gay patriot will do more to further the standing of gay people in middle America US than any amount of leftie whingeing.
