this beggers belief!
Are these catholics so backward that suicide is better than living with HIV – (NB: AIDS is not something you catch – it is a syndrome – you catch HIV – which is a virus)
No wonder the catholic superstition is slowly burying itself alive….
I’m not disagreeing with your comment or anything, just want to let you know that the article specifies being “diagnosed” with AIDS, not catching it. Living with AIDS isn’t easy, so their actions make a little bit more sense.
Wrong and wrong. Living with AIDS is a lot easier now because of a new generation of very successful drugs. They don’t cure AIDS but they surpress it very successfully provided people are willing to take them consistantly and daily and work on their every day health. Your second wrong is to imply that the first wrong makes “their actions make a little bit more sense.” Finally, since the Catholic religion believes that suicide precludes saving your soul from Hell, they have also proven themselves to be neither true believers, nor very smart!
they church still wants to hide its sins and tell us what to do
Dickheads like you and bigots like you – Two of my least favourite things!
learn to spell twll tyn
When he starts spelling like that, it usually means he is drunk again.
Like a sh!t in a sewer.
strange how you base all your sad desperate homophobic views on a book that is the foundation
Keith is mad. No ifs or buts about it. HE can’t see it. Everyone else can, though….
Although sitting around with your mouth round a bottle of booze and your thumb up your backside are two of your favourites eh Keith?
This sounds like a plot out of a bad movie script. Arranging for one’s own murder is tantamount to suicide — a major sin in the RC Church. To use this “sin” to cover up the tracks of their former indulgences while under a vow of chastity is incongruous. Are we sure this is not an episode of a soap opera.
The lengths these so-called “religious” people will go to in order to hide from the truth is mind-boggling.
Homosexuality is a Catholic sin
Suicide is a Catholic sin
Breaking vows of celibacy is a Catholic sin
Thank God they didn’t commit the sin of using a condom…
The Catholic Church has contributed to two more deaths, lets add it to the list of billions over the centuries.
I don’t think I’ll have one iota of fear of Hell …. there’ll be so many Popes, Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops, etc., etc., the flames wouldn’t have a chance of getting as far back as me!!!!!!
You don’t believe a word you write You’re just a sad lonely troll who wants some attention. Get a life you pathetic person.
More proof that catholicism is rotting from the inside out. Is death by hitmen an act of suicide? The ‘gift that keeps on giving’- folks, we’ve got a ring-side seat as we watch the self-destruction of this centuries-old theocratic dictatorship. Pass the popcorn!
@Keith — I think you protest too much. If you dislike homosexuality so much, why do you spend so much time on a gay forum ?
As to disliking religion, you post passages from the bible with great frequency. See you trollings in for example http://www.pinknews.co.uk/?comments_popup=27117
I imagine you can’t see the inconsistency, but everyone else can !
You are giving Keith to much credit – attributing to him inconsistency, rather then the fact – - he is a troll! Please don’t feed the troll!
The Daily Mail reports…? Oh they would won’t they.
This is shocking and shameful and the price that comes with religion and sadly bigotted folk.
Like I always say religion has a lot to answer for. They used to go round killing us now they just hope we do it ourselves. It’s nasty and shows religion up for the true evils of this world.
Correct me in case I am wrong but is it possible to be diagnoised with AIDS? AIDS is not a disease in itself but the consequence of a body damaged by an immune system that is run down and no longer functioning fully. Likewise HIV has not been isolated in a test tube and can only be detected by the presence of HIV antibodies that show up when blood is tested. So why is Pink News reporting these men were diagnosed with AIDS? Confused here!
One CAN be diagnosed with AIDS.
“someone has AIDS if they have one of 26 specific diseases (28 in children) but no known cause of immune deficiency other than HIV (with some diseases, a positive HIV test is required); or if they have a CD4+ cell count below 200 cells per cubic millimetre of blood, or less than 14% of all lymphocytes, plus a positive HIV test.”
May 1983, Luc Montagnier and his colleagues in France reported the isolation of a virus they named LAV, which infected and killed CD4+ cells. A year later, the American Robert Gallo announced he had isolated a virus called HTLV-III and found a way to grow it in culture. It was later discovered that the two viruses were genetically indistinguishable, and they were renamed HIV.
Researchers have been able to isolate and culture HIV from most AIDS patients whom they have examined (as well as from many other people with HIV antibodies) They have isolated the virus from blood cells, blood plasma, lymph nodes, semen, vaginal, etc…”
“A small band of Australian scientists and physicians claims that HIV has never been properly isolated. The Perth Group has never said that HIV doesn’t exist; rather they say that HIV has never been conclusively proven to exist. They don’t trust any HIV tests, because they have not been verified using their “gold standard” of isolated virus. The Group uses the isolation argument to dismiss just about every type of evidence that HIV causes AIDS.
Virtually all virologists believe that the Perth Group’s conditions are unnecessary. They say nobody has ever used such rules to isolate any type of virus, and that other techniques are much more effective. According to the Perth Group’s rules, nobody has isolated or proven the existence of the viruses said to cause small pox, influenza, measles, mumps and yellow fever.
Experts argue that the Group’s rules are unreasonably demanding and impossible to satisfy fully, even though their main requirements have already been met. “
The Perth Group appears to have only two active members: medical physicist Eleni Papadopulos-Eleopulos and emergency physician Valendar Turner. In late 2006, Papadopulos-Eleopulos and Turner testified in the appeal trial of Andre Chad Parenzee, an HIV-positive man convicted of endangering life by having sex with three women without informing them of his infection. The two witnesses intended to demonstrate that HIV had not been proven to exist; that HIV tests were unreliable; and that there was no evidence of HIV transmission through sex.
The presiding judge concluded that the Perth Group members had no qualifications or practical experience in virology, immunology or epidemiology, and were not qualified to express opinions about the existence of HIV, or whether it had been shown to cause AIDS. The judge found that the pair relied entirely on the work of others, which they often took out of context and misrepresented. Their arguments were found to lack plausibility and cogency…
Elvis!! If you want to be loved, Baby, you’ve got to love me, too.
If you want to be loved, Baby, you’ve got to love me, too.
Oh yeah, ’cause I ain’t for no one-sided love affair. Sing!!
Schizoid. Za-freekee keef.
Weird news, but then if the catholes didn’t have such a friggin’ problem with sex and genitalia, then two priests wouldn’t have had to die in such a pathetic manner (if these statements are to be believed). Who asks what’s the harm of religion?!
I actually find this story moving in a way of love they felt for each other and to choose not to be separated by illness. It takes a lot of love to do this. And a lot of fear of course. Let them rest in peace.
I didn’t read anywhere that the two priests were (a) gay or (b) lovers. HIV affects heterosexuals too.
Hey this is a very interesting article! Thanks! Maybe you’re interested in Infant Erin UGG laarzen
What a fantastic story. Priests, STD’s and hitmen.
